Hello family! How are y'all doing? Temperatures are rising again, so outdoor activities are out of the question, and Holmes has left to work on a case leaving me behind, so I'm pretty bored...trying to figure out what book I want to read.

^EXACTLY what I was going to say. There is no shame in reading multiple books at once (if there was I could never leave the house due to embarrassment). Plus since they're all different, it'll be easy to keep track of!


I got another illustration done today! Whooo! And now I'm listening to Les Mis and getting all hyper and possibly weepy at the same time and just thinking about the movie and how it comes out at the same time as the Hobbit so I'll just be a mess the entire weekend spending all my money and my time at the movie theater and I'm actually minorly concerned about myself now because I think I might be starting to hyperventilate and FEELS GAHHHH.

Nope, absolutely no shame. I can't even recall the last time I was only reading one book

Nurr, it's okay to start hyperventilating about the Hobbit, just don't do it all the time from now 'till December! But see my response to a very serious message: the cinema in my city won't be showing the Hobbit So I'll have to go somewhere else, which makes me very upset for no apparent reason, and my family keeps giving me the weird look because they don't understand why I'm making such a big thing out of this. So to make me feel better, I watched the Hobbit trailer again and now I'm all anxious and nervous and happy at the same time for December, which still takes AGES to come, and wow I really need to stop doing this to myself.

So you see, it's completely normal

Oh my, I understand your pain even if your family doesn't. The most I have to worry about is not having anyone to go with at midnight (though I'm considering going back down to my university and going with some friends still there) and not about where I'd have to find it showing!

But just think! It's almost August! Only ...5... more months!

Nurr, don't say that, you're making me think about school! Which I'm actually kind of worried about because of this musical theatre class I'm taking again, and the teacher really never gave me any chances to show that I could sing, you know? And now I'm worried that the class is going to be like this year's, where I sort of lost all my confidence. Sorry, that turned into a mini rant.

But I can't wait until the Hobbit and Les Mis either!

Thanks Nurr ! I'm not sure if I have anyone to go with yet, but if I can't find anyone I'll just go by myself. There's no way I'm not seeing this movie the day it's released!

Harthad, I hope your class/teacher will be better next year! I never had the confidence to start doing something with musical theatre, so I think you should be proud of yourself for even doing it However, losing your confidence because of your teacher really sucks, so let's hope he'll behave next year!

I agree with Lhun, Harthad. You have the confidence to be in a musical theater class, not many people have that. I certainly dont. You have the guts to get up in front of people and act and sing! You're doin something wonderful, something you enjoy, so make that teacher give you a chance, and you make it shine!

We actually had rain yesterday, which was exciting, but it's still supposed to be 100 today. Praise God for air conditioning.


My not-husband-but-still-steady-companion Mat has been very quiet lately. (BECAUSE THE FREAKING NEXT BOOK NEEDS TO COME OUT. NOW.) He's off gallivanting around the countryside reluctantly rescuing people.
