Hey guys,
I need some help with converting a high-quality psd file into a vector file, because I want to make a logo out of it. I downloaded a trial of Adobe Illustrator (Cs6) because the tutorials I read said that it was the easiest to do in Illustrator and I followed all the steps to convert it into a vector by using the Tracing Option window. Still, after saving my file and opening it in Photoshop once more, the quality seems worse than it was as a JPEG-file and when zooming at 400%, the picture seems blurry. So as I read that the idea of a vector image would only improve the quality of the picture, especially when zooming, I believe that something went wrong.
Can anyone help me?

When you open a vector in photoshop, it becomes rasterized and doesn't have the properties of a vector anymore. your best bet is to either open the image at a larger scale (if you're wanting to scale it once it's open) or to convert it to a smart object (which should give it a vector-like feel while you work with it).
Hope that's helpful?
