I don't think anyone posted it yet, but I've seen it as well I think it's really nicely done: including all the safety-instructions clearly but in a very non-boring way. And ofcourse PJ popping up and vanishing again was great. It only makes me want to go to New Zealand more

I think one of my friends might have actually seen it on the plane, because she's doing study abroad in Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.

I just saw this yesterday! It's brilliant! I might actually pay more attention to flight safety if it was always this entertaining. I wonder how they decided to do it?

I recently read an article about how the filming of LOTR increased the tourism to New Zealand immensely, even when considering it's still on the other side of the world for most countries. And I remember Air New Zealand having planes with LOTR characters on it as well for the premiere of the Fellowship of the Ring, so I think this is along the same line Besides, most New Zealanders (is this the right word?) appeared pretty proud about their country being chosen as Middle Earth once again, so maybe it's also another way of showing this?

^ Oh yeah. Besides the pride a lot of Kiwis feel about having their native sons and daughters make films with such world-wide success, New Zealand tourism is definitely hoping to capitalize on the Hobbit in a way that they didn't when LotR came out (when they didn't realize how much interest in their country it would kindle). That may sound very cold and calculating on their part, but in the end I think it's a smart move and it's great that the movies bring in some money for such a small and beautiful country.

That's brilliant! Ok, now I SERIOUSLY need to convince my parent to let me go to New Zealand!

Heh, I worked with two of the people in that video. They work for TORn and were at Dragon*Con, where I volunteer.

I really enjoyed the film, even my missus who really isn't into Tolkien loved it. Good sign
