There are a ton of characters. A TON. So there's someone for everyone to love. I tried reading them years ago, but my aversion of the lead character lead to me dropping the book after only a few chapters. I've never picked them up since, although it's one of the main fantasy must-read series. Maybe I'll give it another try, and just wait for another character to catch my interest.
