That's great, Bella. What meds are you on? (PM me, if you don't want to say on the forum.) I have almost been put on meds numerous times, for a break down I had a few years ago. My body rejects it though. No matter what I take, even it it's a asprin, I end up bringing it back up.
I'm in one of those moods today. One minute I'm all "Yay! Woo hoo!! Let's go write something/watch a film/whatever." Then I'm like, "Blah. Can't be bothered." I really don't know what to do with myself.
Also, I'm thinking about making a party thread, because it's been a while since we had one.

Bellatrix wrote: I'm a fellow zombie killer, which is pretty awesome too. Me and my hubby just like to relax together after slaying some walking dead <- note the fine pun indeed. Quite the killer pun, indeed! Its been so long since we've had "spouse chat" in this thread! I have those days, Erin! I'll get my computer out and get all comfy and ready to write, and I'll wind up just sitting there watching my screen saver scroll along (which makes me wonder if I should change it from a slideshow of Colin O'Donoghue pictures ), or I'll play solitaire instead because I'm just like "bleh". Or I'll get a book or something and I'll just sit in my chair with it on my lap, because I want to read but dont want to at the same time. Frustrating, because you never really get anything done or accomplished. And a party would be fun! Well, work is going well so far, at the new job. Its just long hours when you're just sitting in a chair behind a desk in a quiet lobby, answering the phone when it occasionally rings. I swear, on saturday when i have my 12 hour shift, I am so bringing in my crocheting stuff! I cant sit for that long and not do anything but read! Oh I could sit and read that long, if it wasn't for the fact that after a while I feel the need to actually do something. So hopefully crocheting will help with that must do something! feeling. Edit: Ok, sharing this because I saw this and was like "I must have them all!!!!!", well, except for the Anne of Green Gables, since I haven't read that book. But anyway, I love all this stuff, so simple and an awesome idea! http://www.etsy.com/shop/thornfieldhall?page=1

Right now I'd quite like my hubby to be here and brush my hair. I'm going through the whole "getting used to" period when it comes to my medication. Mood goes up and down and here and there. xD

I adore my new hubby. I like him a lot more than my old one. Much more my type. At least this time I got my first choice.
The first time around, I wanted Legolas, but he was taken. So I settled for Faramir. Then when I wanted to change it, it was to Thorin, but he was taken, so I settled for Faramir again.

That's so awesome It's a tad expensive though, but it would make a really great birthday present.

I know, shame the scarves cost so much, I'd love the Pride and Prejudice one! And yeah, Dracula even! Apparently people other than me have read that book I've never shopped on that etsy site before, though I believe its rather popular for craft style projects. But since I only have my bank card, I'm very leery of purchasing things online, so sadly I can just sit and stare at the literary scarves and shirts.

Hey everyone! New banner! This is the one, that I mentioned. (The one that took so long to get to blend, that it could either make me like Thranduil, or hate him.)

I think it looks great Erin! I love the autumn colours and the blending looks really good (as in it's not visible, which is probably a good thing ) I've tried working with some high-res Thranduil screencaps as well, and so far it didn't work out very well. Maybe he's just a tough subject to work with! Also, I think it's a great idea to host another Tree party! It's been some time since we've had the last one, and I think people will be up for it again

I'm thinking of setting it in Erebor. Like, obviously because in our family tree alt Middle Earth, Thorin is alive. So maybe Erebor is restored or something.
I'm still choosing it, because everything is about The Hobbit right now, with DoS just come out on Bluray and DVD, and There and Back Again coming out this year. It'll be fresh in everyone's mind. Plus it is a beautiful place, and would be a perfect place for a party. Plus, I don't actally know most of the names of places in Middle Earth, except for plot important towns or whatever from all 5 movies. /worst LotR fan in the world.
Edit: Forgot to say; Thanks Lhun! Oddly enough, the blend was the easiest part. Except for his collar, it really blends in with the background too much. I wanted to use that pic though, because orginally it was going to be his eyes, and a stars texture, with the line he says about wanting the white gems. (Trivia; the elvish text is that line.)

That banner is gorgeous Erin and I too agree Thranduil is a really difficult subject to work with, he's so shiny! &have you ever read the pages on Thranduil in unfinished tales? Or this awesome character analysis. They both show that he's even more awesome and fabulous than what we see in the films- so they're well worth a read! Party sounds awesome, wherever it's set, we need a reason to celebrate!

No, I haven't read that. I'll totally check it out. My readings of LotR and the history is a little light. I do have one of the books to do with some back stories, but I've never finished reading it. I think I got as far as an elf, that had decided to go on a journey, and he was travelling up a mountain, I think. I'm not sure. I didn't really take it in. It seems that I never really have time to read much in the past year, with writing and everything going on.
I'm going to post the party probably either during the week or next week end. If I started it now, I'm worried that I wouldn't have time to post regularly. I'm so close to the end of my book, that I can practically taste it. I have everything in my head, where I know will lead to the end, then after I've written that, just write the couple of chapters that gets there, to lock it in. Then I can just play around with the plot in editing. I swear, the first draft is the hardest part. But, back to the original topic, so everyone keep an eye out for the party.
Would anyone be mad, if I chose a wedding party for me and Thranduil? That would be a perfect excuse to get the family together.

Thranduil's backstory is fairly easy to understand without reading too much into the history of middle earth. The most interesting parts are related to the battle of the last alliance ( the prologue battle) and Sauron's growing influence in Mirkwood, which are both in lotr/ the hobbit anyway- I really liked him as a character before reading those parts, but he fast became one of my favs after learning more about him

How far into Unfinished Tales is Thranduil's story? I'm more interested about the back histories of characters I know and possibly like, rather than random characters that probably won't be mentioned. I had to check which book I had, and it is Unfinished Tales. I'm not that far in at all (page 33, Of Tuor and His Coming to Goundolin.)

Thank goodness that Thorin's still alive in our alternate universe Family Tree Middle-earth, since I'm not planning on becoming a grieving widow anytime soon. I'm not sure if Thorin would be too happy about that, since you know how he feels about the Elven King (or Elves in general). I think the Erebor option is a better idea, but if you opt against that, I can always host one when it gets closer to my birthday (though it won't be until late July). I was always thinking of hosting one set in Erebor, since it's so vast, so it would be the perfect place to host any kind of celebration, like a birthday party or perhaps even something about Durin's Day, since that would be the anniversary of when Thorin first came back to Erebor after such a long absense.

Well, he'll just have to lump it then, won't he? Both of them can get along. Or I'll handcuff them together for the whole party, and make them behave themselves. Yeah, it was either Erebor or the woodland realm. Because both are magnificent, and vast. But, I have my heart set on Erebor. I do want to host a party though, because I've always wanted to. In the past, there has either been a party going, or the only time no one can host one is during one of my absences.

It's in the of Celeborn and Galadriel chapter I think, the whole chapter is quite long with lots of info on Lorien and Moria, but if look Thranduil up in the index you should find it
