^Did you change it on FF.net, too (just curious)? Just a tip. You may want to put a space between the names, since this forum does allow you to have spaces (my original username had spaces), and it would look better. Having it all one word just looks too crowded. When a site doesn't allow me to use spaces (like on deviantart, for example), I just use underscores for the same reason. It was probably about time you changed yours anyway, since Legolin and Legolas are just too close. When choosing my present username, I made sure I didn't choose one that was too close to the character's first name or the actor's last name, since that would have been too weird!

Wow Lembas, you take this "popping in" serious, jumping off a mountain and all. (lame attempt at a joke) That sounds exciting! Definitely not something I would do though, heights not my thing. Glad you popped in though So I'm having a bit of a work dilemma. My company is starting to do some things I find to be unethical. Not like, serious things or anything, just encouraging us to withhold some information from customers and change up wording so they'll apply for magazine subscriptions, and I dont agree with the wording choice because I feel it holds more information back than we're already being encouraged to do, all for the sake of a numbers game. we're supposed to hit a certain number goal with selling magazine subscriptions at the registers, and our store isn't making it (along with others in our district). My take on it is that its dishonest, and I feel like I'm tricking the customer, and my outlook is if I was a customer I wouldn't appreciate that one bit, especially when I would get a bill for three different magazine subscriptions because I wasn't aware I had to cancel them after the trial period (because that information was withheld from me) and quite frankly wouldn't like to shop in a store that *beep* me sideways like that. It really sucks because my job pretty much hinges on how my numbers are, so if they suck then I'm fired. But I just can't do that to people. Then again my job is already in jeopardy in the district managers eyes, because of my other job, because he's all like "oh we're doing a new method of scheduling and if she can't produce a set schedule then let her go" and meanwhile my manager is like 'yeah not gonna do that' and i'm like 'but I do work a set schedule!' and uuuuugh...I have no idea anymore. I've been content and happy there for almost a year now, but here within the last month or two its just been so stressful, so number oriented, there's just been so much crap....

^ That sounds horrible. :S As someone who has had a company rep tell me that a paper/magazine will automatically cancel itself after the trial period and then I kept being charged... I can say from exp that having that information be withheld from me is something I REALLY don't appreciate. It could also be labelled under false advertising since important information concerning an account's policy are withheld. That choice by your company is going to backfire two fold. I'm not saying quit your job just be careful because you guys are going to get a LOT of backlash from new customers. I hate when companies say "Oh yeah, we will work with your availability." And then they just don't. It's so frustrating! I know jobs can be super difficult to come by these days. If you were to stop at that job, could you pick up more hours at your other job? @ Lembas: Oh my gosh! That sounds like so much fun! Yeah I agree with Tink that you are taking jumping in a little to seriously. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Turkey! Let us know more about the trip when you get back. I love travel stories.

Sadly Rinoa, no, there's no guarantee I can pick up the amount of hours that I'd lose if I quit my other job. My second job is pretty well set with me working two evening shifts a week and every other weekend. I'll pick up an extra shift now and again, but its not all the time. I'll just keep being honest with people, probably search for another job in the meantime. I hate to do that, I get along with everyone there, which is a rare thing to find in the workplace. And I do actually have fun most of the time I'm there, well, fun is stretching it a bit I guess since it is work, but I enjoy it there. Its been a relatively good place until here lately.

@ Túrien: Hello Túrien. How are you doing these days? @ Tink: Finding that in the workplace is very difficult indeed. That sucks that they had to go and tell you all to be hush-hush about something that is actually really important to customer service. I hope you stay there until you find another job or they decided that their decision was stupid after a crap ton of complains and switch it back to telling people what they need to know. :/

Welcome back, daughter! Just to let you know, the graphics you requested are finished. Just head over to Numenor to claim them (I'm thinking of requesting an Under the Dome banner myself, love that show! I just have to find some images first, since it's easier for the person you request it from to make them if you provide your own images, though you don't have to). It seems I made the jacket for my Thorin Halloween costume too long (it's longer for Balin, but shorter for Thorin and Kili), so I had to fix it. Making it smaller is easier than having to make it bigger (especially if you've already given away the extra material, which is what I usually do when I finish cutting it out). Still no word if Under the Dome will be back next summer (it's only a summer series), and the second season doesn't come out on Blu-ray and DVD until Dec. 9th (there goes my Christmas bonus). Ugh! Time to re-watch season one (which I already have on DVD). Knowing my luck, that's exactly when Into the Storm will get released on Blu-ray and DVD (I'll be getting the combo pack for that one), even though it hasn't technically left theaters yet (I won't be able to see it again in theaters, since they only have a 12:50 p.m. showing, and that's a little too early, since the earliest matinee I can go to is a 2:00 p.m. one). Last year, season one of Under the Dome got released on the same day as the Extended Edition for AUJ (but I had to wait until after Christmas to buy it, since I got a $75.00 gift card from Walmart, and the set cost about $45.00. TV series on Blu-ray or DVD isn't cheap, but Walmart's usually the cheapest).

Mondays are going to be a tad dull without Under the Dome (still hoping for a third season). To help pass the time, I'm now reading that behemoth of a book it's based on (since I'm no purist, I don't mind that it's a bit different than the series. As long as it's interesting). If you're not familiar with it, you can always look it up on IMDB (but don't bother going on the message boards, since they're pretty horrid, and not just for this title). Starting today, I'm going to re-watch season 1 on DVD (which I own, since season 2 doesn't get released on Blu-ray and DVD until Dec. 9th, so I'll have a bit of a wait) so that it'll be like it's still on (but in reruns with no commercials. Why are there so many commercials). My Thorin Halloween costume is nearly complete (I just have to put the sleeves for the jacket underneath, which will be the same color as the coat), so there's a good chance I'll have it finished it time. Now I just have to find a wig, since my hair's not long enough to simply dye it a temporary color (it would probably wash me out anyway, since I'm more fair skinned. I dyed it a similar color back in high school and it seemed to take forever to get it back to my natural hair color).

So many conversation topics going on here, not sure where to jump in... (That's a good thing, since the forums were so quiet for a while.) I guess I'll start a little convo topic of my own.
It is really good to see everyone. Just lately I've barely had the motivation to come on line, and thrown myself into way too many projects. I did discover that I have a knack for drawing maps. Honestly, I had no idea before. It all came about while drawing little blueprints of the places featured in a children's mystery series, that I was sort of writing for fun. One particular place was a series of caves. I started to draw them, by using the little circle drawing thing in my old geometry set to draw a faint but perfect circle, then within the circle make the shape of the cave room. After that, erase what was left of the circle. Then to define them, shade around the edges with a pencil. With each new unique room, they started to look like islands to me. So on a blank piece of graph paper, I set to work drawing a imaginary world map, with islands of all shapes and sizes. It looks amazing. I am extremely shocked, that I had this skill, and never knew it. I doubt my maps are anywhere in the league of Tolkien's maps. I'm yet to figure the detail to draw mountains and rivers and such. My skyview forests look all wrong. But it's still fun to play with.
As well as that, it got me thinking about save the world adventure stories. How we obviously see the side of the hero, because it is their job to cast back the evils of the world back to wence it came, and restore the balance of peace and good in the world. But, what about the evil side? From the Big Bad's side, the hero is a strong antagonist, that lives to destory their definition of the perfect world. Clearly they had their reasons for wanting to change the world in the way they did. Nothing will probably come of these ideas. But, once I've created a map of an island or ficitional country, or even world itself, and jotted down an idea or two, we'll see what happens.

^ LOL, yeah. That was during my Thranduil scene phase, where I made banners of every scene he was in. Well, the ones that I could cut Tauriel out of, without ruining the flow of the scene. I really do need a new set actually. Well, I guess I'll have to wait until Battle of the Five Armies, to have some more scenes to work with. Well, until then, I have plenty of Thranduil. LOL, I was so obsessed with making sets of him. I may have to watch the films again, and choose a new character to obsess about.
