...Ok, when I read that short description, I have no idea why, but I so pictured like, some sort of creepy little sentry creature, (kinda like the goblins from HP) sitting at the mouth of the cave, and in a bored like state just like "yeah, whatever, cursed, good luck". Like I said. Dont ask me why. But anyway, everything I had thought off was way too wordy, or just plain corny.

^ LOL, which is why I never minimised the word count of the description before. I know exactly what you mean though. I read the words again, of the shorter version, and seriously hated it. It takes away a lot of the magical feel of the cave.

So I was offered an assistant management position at work...pretty sure I'm going to say no. I dont want the added stress. I know I can do the job, I'm confident about that, but there's so many different factors to it....I just dont feel like I want all that right now. Especially not when I'm no longer completely content with my job, and I'm starting to look elsewhere and put in applications at other places. Bummer though, would look great on a resume, but I also think its wrong to accept a position with more responsibility like that when I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be there. And I'm the kind of person where if I feel something is wrong, I'm just not going to do it. Dang my ethics.......I'd make a horrible pirate!

Sorry to hear about you being ill, Tink. It seems like everyone around me is getting ill lately. I thank all the gods in Olympus, that I haven't come down with anything yet. If I get ill, something that would be nothing to someone else, hits me like death warmed up.

I made a new set! I was stressed out, and thought I might try out something a little different. I'm happy with how it turned out.

You may want to choose someone you'll always like, rather than someone you'll only like for a couple of months. Although I'm more into Under the Dome right now, I still love the Hobbit (and Thorin). Just because you have a new fandom doesn't mean you have to be married to one of the characters. It's best to be married to the one you like the best (in my case, that's still Thorin, regardless what happens to him in the book and/or movie. I'll just pretend it never happened, or perhaps my character prevented the dreaded event from happening, but if Marida's up against Azog or Bolg, she's going to need a little help, since she's only a dwarf).

I have three different fandoms myself: The Hobbit/LotR, Under the Dome and PotC (not necessarily in that order). A fandom is anything that has more than one (or at least that's how I define it) like a book, movie or season (for TV series).

Hey all.

I swear, I never get a break from writing. I decided to re-read my fictionpress story. I found that there were parts to the story, that I wished would happen earlier, and parts that I wished I'd gone in a different direction. So, editting and some re-writes at parts are required. Right now, I'm focusing on writing information about the characters. More specifically their fatal flaws. The weakness that could easily finish them off. I'm down to two characters, that I just can't find any weakness information for. Genies, and Angels. If anyone knows of anything, could you show me?

So, I would like to ask for some advice on a decision that I'm struggling on. I have had the same screen name on this, and several other sites, for many years. I think that I first used it ten years ago, and have used it ever since. But now I'm thinking that I might want to use a different name. My problem is that after having the same name for so long I'm just not sure if I should change it.

The name I'm using now is the name for one of my earlier characters, and the name I would switch to is for one of my newer characters. The name, as it would show, would be Kraven H. Silverfox. Who is a mutant that I made for X-Men. Whereas Orophin was a Dark Elf who had chosen self imposed isolation. I think it would be better to have the mutant name, because it would fit my wife better, since they would both be mutants, and since they are in a relationship in his story. But I'm just not sure. So, what do you guys think?

I can honestly say that I knew absolutely nothing about him until now. But that is very cool. I was on an elven name generator site, that was supposed to take your name, and translate it into elven. I can't remember which language they used on the site either. My name came out as Oriphin, and I loved the sound of the name. So I was happy to use it. For the character that I was making, and for my username.

^ That's the same way I got my username! I can't remember which website it was, but I really liked the sound of this name. And I've also thought about changing it some time ago but couldn't really come up with anything else..

As for changing your username Orophin, your new username sounds great as well! Please include a notification in your signature that you're Orophin though, or I won't recognise you

I probably got mine from the main A-U site. I went through a phase of naming characters with elvish words for last names.

If I did change mine though, it would be easy to remember, because the new name has been in my sig for months. Lónannûniel. I won't change it though, because I do use her as an RPG character now. Which is weird, to have a character with your own username for a name.
