i'm surprised I havent exploded from all the excitement! I've been doing a Marvel movie rewatch, watching any and all Marvel movies connected to the Avengers, some multiple times simply because I enjoy staring at a hot superhero running around saving the day. I admit that. Tomorrow I got to buy some new blue nail polish from the store, get my nails all blue because the STL Blues are in the running for the Stanley Cup!!! So I gotta represent!

Lol Sounds like quite the time! I can completely understand that, honestly. I was always that way about Star Wars... still would be if life allowed me the time! Ah, that's cool. Well, good luck to them in the cup!

Hey everyone. I'm so glad to be back. I was ill. It was either the flu, or a flu like virus going around. D:
But, I'm all better, and feeling fine. I'm actually watching Once again. It's really bugging me, that I totally recognise Zoso. In some angles, he looks like Grima Wormtongue, then I'm not so sure.
Anyway, the family tree party will be this week. I wanted it to be last week, but couldn't be helped.

Erin, if you want to use your most recent Thorin banner, feel free, I've changed mine back to an older set (mostly because I wanted to use one of the location banners again, and it didn't match). The only TV series I'm into at the moment is Under the Dome. I just finished the behemoth of a book it's based on (not the thickest book I've ever read, since that record still belongs to LotR, with the PotC prequel, The Price of Freedom in third place), and although I skimmed through the book when I first bought it (which didn't spoil it in any way, since I was going to read it anyway, so what's the difference), some things still surprised me (like the deaths of certain characters, for example). And apparently, when season 3 premieres on June 25th, it will be on a Thursday instead of a Monday (it's been on Mondays for the past two summers), so it may be changing days (luckily, there's not much on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. either, or at least not that I can't watch on Friday). I finally rebought Tangled. I've had it before, but I never kept it. This time I bought the 3D Blu-ray/DVD combo pack (I just had the DVD the first time), and I will not be getting rid of it (it gets too expensive if you have to replace it all of the time). I love the horse, Maximus, who's not necessarily a bad horse, just misunderstood. I'm currently looking for the soundtrack, since it seems to be sold out everywhere (even on eBay, but I've been busy buying other Hobbit goodies on eBay: a tote bag, the key to Erebor keychain and a journal, to name a few).

Hiya guys, what's everyone been up to? It's so nice to pop in here and see some actual activity going on! Life has been crazy busy for me these past few months; starting my PhD has been amazing and exhausting, so there hasn't been much time to hang around here. I'll certainly try to pop in for the party once it's started though.

Ah thanks, I feel really smart now! But to be honest, most of the time I don't feel so smart at all and I have to ask TONS of questions But yeah, it's exhausting so that's why little time was left for internet stuff after work.

Got to enjoy Free Comic Book Day today! Left the crowded comic shop with a handful of new comics (well, some new, some old, but all new to me ), and some preview editions to some new storylines coming out this summer from Marvel. Of course DC titles were available, but I'm a Marvel girl. Batman, and the new Arrow show, is pretty much it when it comes to DC for me. Then went out to dinner with the family, good day! I'm finishing it off by watching the Avengers, gearing up to go see Age of Ultron when i'm off on Monday

Aww, thank you! I did have a good day! Work wasn't annoying, which is saying something, coworkers were fantastic singing "happy birthday" My parents got me a sewing machine! So now I have to figure out how to use that, and then figure out some new projects! Who knows, maybe I'll be really ambitious and make some new curtains for my room, since I can't find anything that I like in stores or online.

Sounds like a good day to me. Ah, curtains are hard to get just right unless you pay tons of money for them. Been there done that... I got tiered of trying and sewed one (By hand though) and it wasn't pretty...

I just recently joined AO3 (which stands for Archive of Our Own). Here's the link to my profile: http://archiveofourown.org/users/Island_QueenI mostly created it for a place to post drabbles to the various imagines on the imaginexhobbit blog on tumblr (one of the blogs that I follow), since I don't want to fill up my blog with stories (especially since I'm on the writer's list, and it's not only Thorin stories that people request, and this way I can make the drabbles longer, not limit it to a thousand words or so). Since FF.net doesn't allow you to import your stories, my back story will be staying where it is (though I'm having a little trouble with the dialogue, since I'm on the part about the earliest meeting between Thorin and Marida, so it's not like I can use dialogue from the movies (or can I). It seems that I accidentally bought two Hobbit themed tote bags (I didn't choose the one you may think, since that one had Elves on it, so I chose the one that has a picture of Dale from the prologue, it's close enough to Erebor), so I had to return one. It also seems that eBay does have the soundtrack to the movie Tangled, so I'll be ordering one as soon as all my Hobbit collectibles arrive (I also ordered a key to Erebor keychain and a journal). Do you believe it's already May? A couple more months and I'll have to get my licence renewed (hopefully the picture will be better, since I'll be wearing my hair down this time. Perhaps I'll wear it the same way Thorin does in the prologue, minus the braids, of course). There goes my birthday money.
