BTW you could try saving the text in your sig as a transparent png file. That way it will work on any background. The green still shows even on the green because some monitors are slightly different colour

Can I make a request? I would love to have a banner for this forum. I like elfs, but I don't have a preverance for a character or colours. Well, I like legolas. But Arwen and Elrond as well. Can you help me with some ideas? I will think of a text. Thank you!!

Great! I found a text from Tolkien I like, short enough for a banner: "moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars."
Picture: a starry night, silver light. And Galadriel. I will browse on the web for an example. So it's going to be a bit mysterious, esoteric.

That's perfect! I'll add the banner later. My internet is really laggy at the moment.

I can't do the transparent png file. Even in Paint Shop Pro, it looks weird. I'm cool with the way it is. The little banner blends alright on my screen. As long as I have the text, I'm fine with how it looks. I'll probably return to having the text again, when I decide to have one sig again.

Hi Melinessea, welcome to AU, I'll gladly make you some banner but I have a few questions first to make sure you get exactly what you want

Are there any pictures you want me to use, or do you want any specific text? Do you have any preference for size too? E.g long and thin like your current sig, or shorter and wider like mine?

Also when you say you want Bilbo do you mean LotR Bilbo (Ian Holm) or Hobbit Bilbo (Martin Freeman)?

And can you also explain a bit what you mean by "with a scene of Hobbiton/ Rivendell/ Mirkwood etc"? Do you mean use pics from those scenes or like a background? Banners are very small so generally there's not much room for a background and lots of characters but I can give it a go if you want

Thenidiel- Are you ok for me to find pics and get started?
