Awesome books MelinEssea!



Yeah my sister got the movie a few weeks ago. I decided to wait for the Extended edition to be released.

I got this a couple days ago for 50 dollars! Was really pleased with it! I thought when I ordered it that the quiver was just a plastic display, but it's actually leather. It also came with a map with an arrow on the top an bottom for display. The book has artwork of the game and a dvd interviewing the composer of the music. Plus a copy of the game, I already own the game but heck it was a great deal!





I will post a picture of the full map soon. This is actually the second map I have bought, I actually didn't realize that it came with a map tell I got it. Extra surprise!

Online, between Amazon and Ebay is where most of it comes from. Like the War in the north set I got on Ebay, it was cheaper their then on Amazon.



That's cool, same here. A lot of the figures I have are put away so some day I will have to get those out to get pictures of them. The movies, I am waiting tell I get TBOFA Extended Edition before I post the pictures of them. I'm excited to see what you all have collected.

It has been forever since I have been on the forum.

I wouldn't call myself a collector by any stretch, most of the books, games and films I bought to use and enjoy. I did have a fair bit of merch, but apart from the EEs, I don't have a beautiful matching set of books or anything like that. I only recently replaced my copy of the Hobbit, because my original one was my Dad's & flies & Spiders kept falling out

I took them down to re-decorate, but I kept all my old Legolas posters (there's literally zillions), when I buy my own house I'm determined to frame them and hang them in my toilet or somewhere weird like that

Still there's sometimes when it strikes me that with a job, I now have a healthy bank account and can afford to buy all the crap I wanted when I was a rabid 12 year old, my flawed logic for buying it is because my younger self would have been disappointed if I didn't (My younger self seems distinctly Gollum like sometimes)

Case in point: I just bought this bad boy on E-Bay

But my justification is not even as sensible as indulging my inner child, which makes it so ridiculous. Its like: "you would have bought this 10 years ago, you should buy it now [preciousssss]"

The worst bit is there are things I want& need to buy much more, I was beating my way through Christmas Eve crowds last year to buy a poster lives on top of my wardrobe, still in its wrapping!
