I have a question about a recipe I found. I'm looking for a recipe that uses Cotija Cheese, but I can't find it. What should I replace it with?

It's hard to imagine Mexican food without the tangy, salty flavor of cotija cheese. But if you're on a budget, you might not be able to afford it. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to get that same snappy taste without spending too much money. Here are some ideas from https://americasrestaurant.com/cotija-c ... bstitutes/ : Feta Cheese: Feta is an affordable substitute for cotija. It has a similar texture and flavor, and can be used in many of the same ways. Queso Fresco: If you want something even cheaper than feta, try queso fresco! It's made with cow's milk and is slightly softer than cotija cheese. You can use it in any recipe where cotija would normally go—it tastes great on tacos or enchiladas!

I'm going to try making my own cotija cheese in the future, but in the meantime, I'm going to replace it with feta cheese or queso fresco. I also found a cheaper option: jack cheese! It's still delicious and has the same texture as cotija, so I think it'll work perfectly. I can't wait to try out some of your recipes!
