Am I the only one who thought Dan did a really really good job acting, crying and all? :confused2: Maybe I'm just biased, because Harry's one of my favorite characters and I do like Dan, but I thought he was excellent.

I thought that too, I was just about to say that! I thought he did a really excellent job, it made me cry, daft as it sounds! I can understand why it was a bit over the top, he's just met Voldemort and watched one of the champions die, and all the other stuff. For me, his 'crying act' really worked. His acting has definately improved in my opinion :)

I really want to go see it a second time, but I'll have to wait until my exams are over... :disgust:

I forgot to say that the abusive Dumbledore really threw me off guard. Kind of scared me. I did, however, enjoy Snape being abusive. Seriously, he seems like the kind of guy who would in fact do that.

That threw me off guard too, even though I knew it would happen. I never expected Dumbledore to be abusive to Harry, even if he was really angry at him, which he doesn't in the book. Knowing what I know about Dumbledore now in the 6th book, it makes it even more strange. I wish that the original Dumbledore could still play him, but he's dead :( I felt really bad about that.
Snape hitting Ron and Harry round the head made me laugh! I don't know whether it was right or not [again, bearing on what I know now from the 6th book], but it certainly was funny. After all, he really does hate them...

I think this is kinda random but I'm going to post it anyways. When Harry is with Snape in the closet or something like that,Snape shows Harry the Veritaserum. He says something very interesting that could turn into a theory for book 7. He says that a few drops of Veritaserum and the Dark Lord will be spilling his darkest secrets. Why he has to mention exactly the Dark Lord? Maybe he will use Veritaserum on Voldemort to reveal where are the reamining Horcruxes?Don't mind this. It's just my crazy mind but it's quite interesting.I heard that Alan Rickman knew the fate of his character.

...how would Alan Rickman know the fate of his character? I don't get that.

I didn't really notice him being bad at crying but what I did notice was that he was terrible at laughing or in any scene where he's just meant to be enjoying himself and having a laugh. I especially noticed this in the bouncing ferret scene which was otherwise very cool.

I noticed that too. I like to pick on Dan :P

What do you think of Cho Chang? I think she was well cast... I could have wished for her to appear a little more as she plays a bigger part in the book, but that didn't seem to be possible considering all the otherevents...

I thought she was really good in the movie.

Well I had a bunch more stuff I wanted to say, I wrote it down (yes, I wrote it down), but I'm too lazy to find it right now. I'll post it later

Yeah. That info was in almost every website. The thing is tht it said that JK Rowling needed to tell him about the fate of his character so he knew where to go with it.

I saw the moed: vie again!LOL I have no life. There are lots and lots of bloopers(duh! no movie is perfect).Anyways I love the movie!Neville is awesome, so is Ginny! The twins always make me laugh. There's something that I find weird. At the end after Dumbledore's speech, everyone looks very happy!I don't know I would be sad, I mean someone was killed by Voldemort. Maybe it's because like in the book, most people didn't believe Voldemort was back, but someone died anyways :confus

I saw the movie the day it came out, and it ROCKED :D (as I think the popular opinion is ;))!! I thought it was the best movie yet ;) WAY better than PoA! Anyways, here's my thoughts on it:

Best Parts:
*Yule Ball!
*Bathtub scene ;) (LOL -- Murtle was friggin' halarious!)
*Harry asking Cho to the dance -- I had to laugh, but I felt bad for Harry :(
*Ron dancing with Professor M. (can't remember for the life of me how to spell it!)
*Snape wacking Harry and Ron's heads :D

Least Favorite Things:
*What happened to the third task??
*The Quidditch World Cup was cut too short :(
*like others said, Harry didn't give Fred and George the winnings!
*I still do NOT like the new Dumbledore! He did seem abusive! And the hippie outfit? What was that?? {GRRRR} What's up with him?
*Where did Sirius go? -- I didn't really like that fire scene with him....his head was supposed to float!

Other Comments:
I thought they picked a good girl for Cho :) She seemed like she liked Harry, though, even though that wasn't really the impression I got from the book  Well, I just love Daniel :D His crying could get better, in my opinion. But he's hott :D *just ignore the rantings of a silly fangirl* I thought Emma was EXCELLENT as Hermione! She was so beautiful at the ball! I think they picked the wrong person to play Madam Maxime, though *frown* I imagined her as at least remotely beautiful, but, no offense, that lady was ugly :( Also, Mad-Eye wasn't what I expected, but he was OK :)

Overall, I'd give the movie an A :) I'm going to see it again next weekend with my Mom, and I CAN'T wait!! :D (I might even see it a third time, too :D)

Wow, shows what I know. So much for visiting mugglenet everyday :disgust:

That's weird though, I can see that happening in the last book actually.

I lost my piece of paper so forget about me giving you more of my brilliant insight :P

I was very disappointed with the fire scene, because it was definantly not the way I imagined it. I know they couldn't have made the way everyone imagined it, but I don't think anyone ever thought that Sirius' head was actually made from the fire. Maybe that's just me...

Also, what was with the line "The devils ae inside the walls"? That seemed out of place and odd. =/

I saw Goblet of Fire! I'm so happy! FINALLY! I have my opinion!! :D

Get ready for Kito's review!!

====================================
Overall:
I'm REALLY happy with how things turned out with Goblet of Fire. At first I was really scared because it's such a dense book and there's so many things they have to incorporate, and when I heard they were making it a regular length movie, I was skeptical! But BOY did they prove me wrong! I was BLOWN away! I'm going with Gilraen on this one, WOW! A, all the way!

Quidditch World Cup:
It was good, I don't think they've emphasized the importance the Quidditch World Cup is to the wizarding world too much. Which is a pity because I mean 1/4 of the Goblet of Fire book was ALL about the Quidditch World Cup. It also felt rushed. Actually, no, it didn't feel rushed, it was VERY rushed. And I had no memory of Cedric coming along with them with the portkey! I must re-read GoF when I'm done with my reading list.

Draco boasting about good seats, and Lucius whacking him with his cane. :D That was priceless. But! Where on earth is Narcissa Malfoy?! I demand to see her! The dancing leprechaun fireworks. Okay, tell me. How friggin cool was that? :D And the animated screen thingies that the audience held. That was BEYOND cool.

Death-Eaters:
Is it me or do they remind you of the KKK? The pointy hats...the covering of the face...y'know? I didn't picture their skull masks to be like that, I would've thought they were alot more plastic-mask like in the Phantom of the Opera or something. :p But it's cool! Gives a more menacing look to it.

Harry gets knocked out. Okay. I can understand that. Makes the plot move faster.

Harry/Cho Smitten On Train:
That was priceless! Harry just comes out of his compartment to get candy but Cho gets there first and she gets her candy with her friends and he goes back into the compartment looking SO out of it. He is SO smitten. So Hermione goes on babbling and Harry's daydreaming off to space....

Beauxbatons Entrance:
"Um...okay." Seriously. They were butterflies.

But they sounded like birds.

So...

How does that fit?

But Fleur is BEAUTIFUL!

Durmstrang Entrance:
Fire. They must be REALLY cold in Bulgaria. I mean, REALLY cold. But then...if Bulgaria's a huge chunk of land...how the heck did they come here on boat? [raises eyebrow] Interesting. Igor Karkaroff looked spectacular. :D So is Viktor the only one wearing fur? Must be his fetish. [shrug]

Dumbledore's Wardrobe:
Ack. Madame Sprout must've taken him out to the early bird robe sale, 70% off. Poor bloke....Must've traumatized him....

I'm really disappointed that they decided to keep Alfonso Cuaron's [sp?] dreary, and down-right-UGLY robes! That was a big NO-NO! Dumbledore doesn't look spectacular, in his wise-ness wearing THAT! He looked like he just came out of St. Mungos!

Moody's Entrance:
Okay...so...the guy's a nutcase, he sneaks in with the teachers whilst EVERY STUDENT can see him and the ceiling obviously doesn't like him. Wow, he must be wanted for a series of ceiling-abuse. Poor ceilings.

"What d'you suppose he's drinking...?"
"I don't know...but I'm pretty sure it's not pumpkin juice."
You're right, Harry, it's not. Y'remember that awful thing Hermione shoved down your throat in 2nd year? Yeah, Barty Crouch Jr. doesn't like that either.

Or maybe he does......

"P.S. The owl bites."
[giggle] Okay, not canon, but it worked. It worked, really well.

Igor Karkaroff Sneaking Into the Great Hall:
Okay, is that necessary? Sure, it makes the audience think HE'S the one giving Harry a heck of a time, but why would he want to get Harry into the tournament which will go against his favorite student? To get him killed? [shrug] Yeah, that would make sense, but c'mon. Boy Who Lived. And Voldie Moldy would definitely be ticked off at Karkaroff if he tried to off Potter-boy, and Karkaroff's trying to run away remember? He definitely doesn't what Death-Eaters on his butt.

Defence Against the Dark Arts Class:
Clearly, he's MAD! Mad, I say! And since when has Seamus gotten into the nich of playing with gum? Since when do they CHEW gum?! Don't they know it's bad for their wizarding teeth?!

"And why are they so called?!"
"B-because they are unforgiveable...if a wizard were to use on---"
"And you're a one way ticket to Azkaban!!"

Wow....why do I get a feeling that he was trembling with passion when he taught those Unforgiveable Curses. But...man...my heart went "whoop!" when Neville went up in front of the class and watched the spider under the Cruciatus curse. Eek! Poor Neville!

Avada Kedavra:
I KNEW Avada Kedavra was said like that!! :D Hermione looked terrified when Moody killed that spider right in front of her because she was the one that stopped him to do the Cruciatus curse because of Neville. Emma Watson has definitely been coming into her own with the role of Hermione.

"I'm NOT an OWL!":
Okay, one minus thing for Emma Watson...it just seems like her anger at Harry was a bit unfair, she had to give a message from Ron but wouldn't from Harry. Though maybe that's more of a fault to the writers.

.....To be Continued.

So far I'm liking your review!I have to agree with you with the scene where they show Karkaroff entering to the Great Hall at night. It was a little bit out of place.

I can't remember if I said this - my post is WAY too long as is. Ha ha ha. But the thing about the Death Eaters looking like the KKK in black...I TOTALLY agree with. When I went to see it, I went with Larien, and when we were going back to our dorm, she brought that up. I seriously thought they wore black robes with hoods over their heads.

And like I've said before, I really, really, REALLY missed Sirius. He's my favourite character besides Voldemort/Tom Riddle. Larien and I also had a discussion of WHY they didn't just have a floating head like in the book - I deduced that they wasted all their money on the dragon (they did a great job with the dragons, don't get me wrong). We just couldn't understand how hard it would be to have a floating head. That'd seriously be easier than a head emerging from coals.
-Oh, and I really wanted Harry to throw a pin at Ron . . . I guess Dan sucks at throwing things ;) Ha ha ha.

I did miss Draco in this one. Tom Felton just rocks . . . ha ha ha. But I was SO confused when Harry and the Weasly's didn't sit in the Minister's box or whatever . . . that's where they sat in the book. Grrr. . .

I also really like that theory of Snape with the Veritiserum (however you bloddy spell it!) That's really cool . . . hmmm . . .

I just saw it again. It's much worse the second time. Cedric is much hotter the second time though. And -gasp- I have to say that Dan was looking quite fine himself. When you're not enjoying the movie, your attention moves to the hot guys :P

Anyways, I did find my paper. But I'm very tired so I'll post that tomorow, and I'll respond to what people posted since my last post then too :D

I found it better the second time  I have to agree that Cedric keeps getting hotter each time I watch the movie :-D I just love when he falls from the tree*squee*

I thought it was pretty funny when Harry was looking at Cho from across the Great Hall and the pumpkin juice in his mouth spills out. lmao.

but what does the new director have against skinny people? Lupin AND Moody are both chubby! and Moody wasn't as gaunt nor as wooden nor as scary as I had expected. *goes off to fume*

Sirius wasn't in it. they could have at least showed his face in the fire. *fumes some more*

and they skipped the part about the Quidditch World Cup. I wanted to see them actually PLAY Quidditch. a little too hasty there in the beginning also. the Dursleys would have added a little amusement

right, enough of my negative ranting. :D overall it was WAY better than PoA and I enjoyed watching it!

That's exactly what I said about the Death Eaters. The first thing I thought of when I saw them was Ku Klux Klan. I liked the skull masks a lot, made the Death Eaters more grotesque looking.

I was really angry that the film makers did this! I felt it just wasn't right, but as you said it did make the plot move faster. [Although, I think it was already moving fast enough.]
