I've read FotR too many times to count!! I think it's probably one of my favorite books. Sure, I like TTT and RotK, but there's just something about FotR that makes me want to read it over and over and over... (I'm not obsessed, I swear!!)

I have read each of the three books once, but I've skimmed my favorite chapters of RotK several times.

I have read all three several times, and am currently reading it in French. Very hard I must say.

Yeah, I know, because Tolkien sometimes uses words I've never heard of before. Or I don't understand his grammar.

I personally love his style of writing, it's not modern and I think that is so refreshing.

I really enjoyed reading it in French, it's even more interesting when you read it in another language!

I can speak two languages...and French...it's not THAT bad. It's a romance language so it's fairly easy. Relatively, anyway. It's only the pronunciation that's hard. Seriously, it's a pain in the butt. >_< My parents want me to work on fluency in French, but it's just...I don't know...boring to me. I can read and write Elvish, can pronounce it, and am fluent in Spanish, but that's about it. I'd love to learn Russian. Or Hawaiian...

wow french, I've only taken two years of it, and I still feel like I know nothing, I can't speak it, I can't write it, and I bearly read it
I think I've learned the most from the translator instead of the class, oops.
But more power to you if you can read it in two languages, you seem to enjoy it a lot
