Yes, he did it really well! I thought the girl whoplayed Susan wasn't true to the character, she was too bossy.

Yeah, I didn't find Susan that bossy in the books. Maybe the people wanted to give her a different personality that would stick out?

You two are very right. I think most of the problem was the script. I hated how she asked over and over to go home. *Sigh*

Again, I'm biased on the Susan role --- She reminded me of myself, so, I can't hate myself!
One thing I didn't like about the Susan role is that she DEFINITELY didn't look 11-12. She looked really grown up and very puberty-strucken. Ah well. I still loved it.
But question though --- I know you guys thought Susan was extremely bossy but what about Peter? I felt he wasn't exactly big brother all the time as well, he had his bossy moments.

No, I really didn't see that about Peter. But you may be right. The book wasn't very fresh on my mind.
One question. We know what order thier age is, but how do we know how old they are? I don't remember reading it.

Well, they're children obviously --- and I mean, from all the pictures I've seen throughout my Narnia book, they're quite young, VERY young. They look like 5-12 year olds young.
But in the movie, I felt Peter was also very bossy. With the whole "Why can't you just do as you're TOLD!" just irked me...

I do agree with Kit. Peter was not that bossy in the book...but niether was Susan. Susan blamed Peter too much, and Peter bossed Edmund around too much.
About ages, I did a bit of research and found this:

Just what I thought I rememberd.

Okay, I seriously don't agree with that. I am like 100% certain that Lucy is only one year younger than Edmund.

Does anybody know where I can find the songtexts for the 4 songs at the soundtrack CD?

OK so I finally saw the movie for the first time today. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed (ok maybe I am a little), I really loved it, but I do have a few complaints that I felt were important:
The White Witch
I think I remember from the books that she had dark hair? But I guess they made her blond for cinematic effects. Anyways that was not my main concern with her; first and foremost: what was she wearing? Those weird dresses annoyed the heck out of me, as well as her futuristic spacey hair - too modernish and not what Narnia is all about. Second of all: she seemed too human. She never felt like that fantastical witch that she really is. She improved by the second act of the film, but all throughout the winter part of the film she simply wasn't "there". She wasn't scary, impressive or evil enough.
Special Effects
The landscapes they had created were absolutely gorgeous, but the movie definitely lacked in the CGI department. The beavers, the fox and the wolves looked like slightly better versions of Scooby Doo (not talking recemblance in appearance here lol but comparing the artistic ability). On close ups the wolves were great, but in the wider shot they looked too "plastic" and too "smooth". I don't mind having CGI creatures on the screen, but when they're not believable as visual characters it's simply just annoying. The animals that were dragging the Witch's sleigh in the beginning of the movie were slightly rediculous looking (CGI-wise). I know this was a low budget film, but they could have done a lot better with the budget they had. I must say Aslan was the only CGI creature that really impressed me. You could also tell when they had used a backdrop and when they had visited a real set. You can add in people more seamlessly nowadays and they should have spent just a few more hours on that one.
Miniatures
You could really tell the Witch's Castle was a model. They should have either made it bigger, or shot it from a lower angle looking up at it thus creating the illusion of a huge building. The had shot it straight ahead which made it look extremely small and not impressive at all. I was also expecting the interior of the castle to be a lot bigger, especially the main hall. This seemed like a small studio.
Feeling
I seriously lacked that fantastical aura. I know it's not fair to compare it to LotR but those movies had that certain dreamy glow which I would have loved to see in Narnia since it is a fantastical world. I also felt they rushed the movie a bit. I'd rather seen it be 3 hours and elaborated further on issues.
Narnia has been a huge part of my life for 16 whole years. It's so important to me and I don't feel they did the book or CS Lewis any justice. Don't get me wrong, the movie as a film itself was incredible and I seriously loved it. But as a righteous Narnia movie? Not sure if it's quite worthy of that title.
Having said that, I absolutely loved the music - Harry Gregson-Williams really pulled through and delivered a masterpiece of a score. All the kids did superb. Lucy was adorable, Peter was a hunk, Susan was sweet and Edmund was as annoying and yet charming as only Edmund can be. The winter landscape, Aslan's Camp as well as the Stone Table were amazing. Better than what I had expected them to be.

I think I read it in the newspaper. Even if it wasn't, it sure looked like one (apart from the awesome landscape of course).
I don't want to be the party pooper here. I did enjoy it and it goes without saying it definitely was TONS better than the BBC series I grew up on. But yeah, some things disappointed me.

Eru: The whole blonde hair thing on the White Witch --- in an interview Tilda Swinton said it symbolized the opposing Aryan race during WWII --- which is that time.

Finally! I finally got to see Narnia today, and I absolutely loved it!!
The White Witch
All I can say is perfect! [except for her hair and her dresses, but what can I say, I'm not exactly the costume/hair designer am I?]
Mr.Tumnus
Perfect again!
Although I don't remember him being scared of Lucy when they met, just a little bit surprised.
The Beavers
Hilarious! I don't remember them being that funny in the books, but it did lighten up the mood a bit.
Aslan
Perfect, even for a CGI lion.
Peter
*sighs dreamily* Perfect... he's just so handsome... and his eyes are just so...dreamy...to look at...
Okay, okay, his character wasn't perfect. I thought he was little bit to bossy, and I didn't like the fact that he said it was his fault that Edmund left. Edmund left because he was under the Witch's "spell" per sey.
Edmund
I can truly say his character was perfect! Exactly the Edmund I imagined.
Lucy
I have to say she was adorable, and very good! The perfect Lucy!
Susan
Oh dear, where to begin...
Some of my problems with Susans character in the movie-
-her age
I swear she looked 14, maybe 15, and she's what? 12 or 13 in the books. Oh well, that would be the film makers fault.
And I don't remember her always wanting to go home, it kind of annoyed me. And the fact that she acted smart was not all that great either. I don't remember that from the books.
The Professor
Was anyone else reminded of Count Olaf from a Series of Unfortunate Events? [Except the professor was a good deal nicer.]
Overall
The movie stayed pretty true to the books, except for maybe the battle and one or two other scenes. I thought it was reallygood, definantly on my list of DVDs to buy when it comes out.

Yes! I was waiting for him to say "Hello, hello, helloooo."
Seriously, am I the only one who liked the White Witch?
