Ah, I dunno --- I think he's comfortable with Kenshin --- his great accomplishment.

Ooooh! I love that one! Rurouni Kenshin is my favorite anime/manga. Watsuki should be happy with it.

Not a huge surprise that Kenshin dies. It was bound to happen, whether it be by a sword, arrow, or disease. Everyone dies eventually. And he had few too many years added to his life in mercy.

*Ahem (Get's ready for big explination)*
This doesn't happen in he manga, I don't think it happens in the anime, either, and Watsuki didn't make up that part of OVA (so I've heard....) so that's why it's so depressing. It's in the second part of OVA, and how he got the disease is mentioned in the manga. Fighting all his life and gettig all his wounds was slowly killing him. Kenshin and Kaoru got married andhad a little kid named Kenji (He's in my banner ^_^). Kenshin left Kaoru for brief spans of time to wander, and one time he didn't come back.Sanosuke found him, and nursed him back to health as much as he could. So Kaoru, who also got the disease, waits for him, and she's dying, too, and she goes out to find him. Kenshin is staggering to the dojo at that very moment andKaoru seesthem and they hug. Kenshin says "I'm home Kaoru" And Kaoru says "Welcome home, Shinta." And then they sit , with Kenshin head in Kaoru's lap and Kaoru talks to him, then notices his scar his scar is gone. She smiles and touches his cheek, then noticeshe died.... *Sniff* It's much more dramatic when you watch it and you have tears and snot running down you're face... ^_^
