History:Born in South Carolina, Elizabeth Holmes was raised to be a young lady. At age fourteen, she had been out for a ride, and when it had started to storm, she headed back. Her life changed when she saw her home burning. After crying for her family, she was soaked, but went around her house and searched for any remains. She found her father's medallion, and took it with her and headed into a forest. She then was taken in by Ben Martin and his family, and four years later, she is still looking for her family's murderers.
Weapons (if applicable):She carries a dagger on her to ensure her saftey, but she can also handle a gun and rifle

Miranda sat by the window of her carriage as they pulled up to the Martin farm. She was to stay with them while Mr. Martin and her father went to a political meeting regarding the British. She sighed. When they pulled up, the whole family was there to greet them. Surprisingly, Miss Elizabeth Holmes was with them...strange. Oh, well. She didn't know her situation...she hadn't personally seen her or the Martins in three years...Thomas and Gabriel had both grown a great deal. Her father opened the door and she stepped out, looking at all of them and smiling.

Elizabeth Holmes came up to Miranda. "How are you today?" she questioned the younger girl. The last time she had seen Miranda was around three years ago..a few weeks before her parent's death. The seventeen year old looked as a simple person, but she was fine with that, even though she had once been wealthy.

Miranda walked up to Elizabeth and hugged her. "Good to see you," she said. She looked at the others. "Hello, Miss Margaret, Nathan, William, Susan," she said, hugging the younger ones. She stood and composed herself for the young men. "Hello Mr. Thomas," she said, shaking his hand, "Mr. Gabriel."

Gabriel smiled as he said, "Miss Miranda..." He took her hand and kissed it gently. "I'm glad to see that you have grown into a pretty young lady."

Miranda blushed slightly. "Thank you..." she said. Ben and her father, Mr. John Cook, exchanged greetings and left for the meeting. She followed the rest of them into the house, listening to what they had to say.

Elizabeth looked at Margaret as the girl said, "I hope they return safely...I heard that there have been more uprisings, and they'll rob or harm any man that looks like a Loyalist."

"But Mr. Martin and Mr. Cook are well known patriots of the South. It is unlikely that bandits will harm or rob them..." Elizabeth said.

Miranda nodded. "There is something to fear in that, too, however," she said, "We must worry about any <i>Loyalists</i> attacking <i>Patriots</i>."

"That is true, Miranda." Elizabeth commented "And with the war in the North, I can see why the Patriiots in the south are becoming anxious. especially since the King of England has sent his general Cornwallis, and the Green Dragoons to South Carolina."
