Arwen the webmaster wrote: Ah yes, I do agree that '05-Wickham was barely introduced before he went off with Lydia (not to the mention that he looked like a blond Orlando Bloom in regimentals, which is scary enough by itself). I'm one of the only people I know who doesn't think Keira Knightley's annoying I do think she did a good job as Lizzy, but she definitely portrayed her character as more lighthearted.
hahaha I thought he looked familiar! It was driving me crazy. He does look like Leggy
And I like Keira as well. She was very sweet. I also think she and Matthew did a wonderful job together. : )

I would love to join this club! I adore the novel and thoroughly enjoyed the 2005 movie. The BBC version was....ok, but this version felt fresh and youthful. I didn't mind the fast pace at all, the slow burning chemistry between Lizzy and Darcy was portrayed so convincingly by Keira and Matthew, absolutely wonderful

I gotta say, I think Mr. Darcy was my favorite character because it was hilarious seeing him try to be nice to Elizabeth. I mean, we totally cracked up in the theater.

It was also funny that we were the only ones in the theater that understood the funny parts of the movie. After the movie, my parents bought me the book, and now I'm trying to read it.

I will as well look at the clips:). I really like the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice but haven't as of yet seen the new version so the clips will help me a lot. Thanks Eden:).

can i join? i LOVE P&P!
the book is wonderful and i love the BBC version, but the new one... not so much.
of course, i REALLY dont like KK so that might have something to do with it, but i thought jennifer and colin portrayed to characters better.
i LOVE mr. darcy. the guys at school didnt seem so bad. then i found P&P and Mr. Darcy. not most of them seem so.. not.. okay.
anyways, its one of my favorite books/movies.

Of course you can join! *adds to member list*
What does everyone think about all the P&P sequels out there - ones that continue the story or tell it from another point of view? Or modernizations/retellings such as Bride & Prejudice, Bridget Jones' Diary, etc.?

Well, I'm not too into the sequels - why does everything have to have sequels? - but I don't really mind the retellings. Bridget Jones' Diary was good, altough I might be just saying this because Colin is in it
