Actully, Yavanna DOES have enough clothing... she just needs to pull that clothing UP.
I only like the painting of Varda... the others look WAY too much like ancient Greeks... well... okay, Ulmo doesn't, he reminds me strangely of a wave... wonder why....

This is true. I like the drawing, but the clothing does need to be pulled up. awesome artist, though.

I have to say that Yavanna, Varda, and Ulmo are the only ones that I really think were depicted perfectly, in a sense. The other just seem to Greekish or beastish in my opinion.

I think it's always good to see many different depictions of anything .. in real life or in fiction. It helps give perspective and knowledge. These are beautiful but I'm sure there are also more out there. I will look...and I encourage everyone else to look as well. Eventually you will probably find some depictions that are much like you original thoughts of what these beings are like. If not you can always take up painting or sculpting or whatever and create your own right?
Oh and the Ulmo one is creepy...cuz like there's a face in the water. that just creeps me out, yet it's awsome at the same time! Wouldn't you be creeped out if you were swimming and suddenly this wave comes up and a face appears in it?
Here are some more different depictions....very different indeed
Lord Ulma
Luthien
Beleg and Turin
Sorry for the long post..if you want to see more of these go to :
