Most of my friends aren't like that - they just won't listen, though. They just consider me wierd and ignore me.

^ Yep. Many, many other people think that I am really weird since I like LotR, even if I don't talk about it a lot around them. And I think that they are the weird ones.... how could you not love LotR??

^ Those who don´t like it ask us, How can you like LotR?
But I don´t give a flower; listen or not, JRRT rocks.

Yeah. But if they want to miss the "real life"...let them...not my problem anymore *g* I told them! My parents call themselves LOTR-fans, but I can't see them doing anything concerning LOTR..Sure, they read the books (a couple of times) but they can't understand me being obsessed. I usually talk about LOTR /Tolkien day and night, and they're often mad at me...*sighs* Parents!
I like them anyway. At least my mom was enough of a Tolkien fan to call me Arwen. I'm usually (if not always) grateful for that.

That's fun as long as you're together with other ringers. But ppl at school usually ask me where I left "My Aragorn" (not that I don't like him, but...ye know...). Ppl who don't know the name usually think it's a boy's name or spell it dead wrong! *urgh* besides that it's okay.

My parents are very, very, very far from fans. At all. My dad saw the movies once. My mom hasn't even done that much, for crying out loud, even though I've begged. They think that I'm insane for being obsessed with LotR. I would love to be called Arwen, though!! You don't realize how lucky you are, Arwen Arianna!!

hmmm..If you want to call it luck, okay. My horseriding teacher always writes it Arween (and pronounces it Arween!), my arts teacher still thinks I'm a boy (she just can't remember ppl and if she reads my name she thinks I'm a boy. And every time she sees me she is socked again , because I definately don't look like a boy...teachers! )
Every time someone asks me how the name is pronounced I pronounce it German...I used to pronounce it elvish, but I gave it up...no1 managed to pronounce it elvish...SHOCKING!!! I mean...it's not THAT hard, is it? However...back to Tolkien... Does anyone of you have the CD where Tolkien reads his own stories? I wish I had it...

Arween... hehe. Yes, I can speak Sindarin pretty well, so I get mad when other people pronounce things from LotR all wrong. I find it easy. Like I have this poster that has pics of Aragorn and Arwen on it, and underneath it says, "Ae u-esteliach nad... estelio han. Estelio ammen." I can get a kick out of people trying to read it though. About the thing about hearing Tolkien read his books... nope, I don't have it. Sounds really neat though!!

Oh, I think I know what the pic looks like! Yep, I could pronounce t, too...I have a sign on my door which says "pedo mellôn a minno" and everyone stops and says "what the heck does that mean?" (I wrote it in Tengwar and, for the "ignorant" ppl also in german letters [Problem: most of my friends can't even read old-german])I think of buying the CD, but it's quite expensive... Maybe I'll get it from my parents? *hides* We'll see...

^ Hmmm, people can be so ignorant. If I saw that sign, I would probably get really excited that I wasn't the only one who could write in Tengwar. Yes, that CD sounds really cool, maybe I'll ask my parents for it for..... my birthday?? No, my birthday's in September..... *sob*

Seriously? Cool! My uncle read it, too, bt he's not a real fan...and actually I don't like him pretty much, so we never talk about it.....
