Daaron pushed the doorbell, then stepped back, waiting. After a moments delay, the heavy oak doors opened to reveal a tall man in a glistening tuxedo. "I hate monkey suits," Daaron muttered under his breath as he stepped inside. They followed the butler up a flight of stairs to the second floor, then walked through a large doorway into a highly decorated room, with tall, dim lamps lining it. In the middle was a large conference table - at the end of it sat a short, stocky man.

Cat steps through the door and follows the butler into the other room. Instead of going to stand in front of the long table, she makes her way over to one of the bookshelves and pulls a book out, leans against the wall, and begins reading it, seemingly engrossed in it but in actuality - all ears.....

Daaron pulled the tooth out of his pocket, then put it on the table and slid it down the other end. It traversed the polished surface rapidly, coming to rest before the man. "Very good, Wolfshade," the man said, leaving the tooth on the table. "Ardans here will see to it that you are payed the full thirty thousand," he added, gesturing to the butler. "Thank you, sir," Daaron said, walking over towards Ardans. "If you have another job for me, you know right where to find me."

Cat sets the book down on the table with a rather loud bang, getting the attention of the man at the other end. "An' what about me?...... Huh?...." Her eyes flicker oddly, the light dancing in her eyes like fire. "I'm lookin' for a job too, that last one was as easy as eatin' pie...."
