i saw the trailer for it on myspace and it looks kinda cool - it's one of those movies like jeepers creepers - a silly horror thing that could never actually happen!!! - and it has the lost star Emilie De Ravin in it :D:D:D

i'd probly watch it knowing me - i like watchin all those films that scare the hell out of me even though they're never gonna happen lol

like jeepers creepers and house of wax

anyway it looks alright :D

I've seen the original...and if my memory serves me right. It was on the Official Banned list (along with the likes of Evil Dead).

Aaron Stanford is in this...it looks okay. Might get it when it's out on dvd.
Be interesting to see how faithful to the original it is.

i do that - like i got house of wax when it came out on dvd - i was off school that day i was in the house on my own and i was to scared to get up and get the phone!!! but they seem to be doing that alot recently - getting old freaky films and making them new - like they did with house of wax and war of the worlds. - but the hills have eyes just looks scary!!! - i might get it though knowing me - cause stuff like that freaks me out but i want to watch it!!!

anyway lol

The basic outline of the plot is that in the 50's there was nuclear testing done and the radiation mutated a lot of the people in the outlying areas.
They became cannibalistic and hunted anything that came in there area.

I like the idea behind it, but it doesn't look very good --- but I haven't seen that many good scary movies.

If it's anything at all like the original it will be.

And by all accounts it is very close to the original. Moreso than any other horror remake.

Didn't hear that part, then again fear has a strange way on me. Sorry if I am going off topic, but one time I tried facing my fear by looking a picture of a rat and ended up hacking up coughs.

You know the movie is sort of inaccurate. If the nuclear explosion didn't kill the people, the radiation would kill them. Leukemia and cancer are caused by radiation and that would kill them easily. Then there is, of course, life shortening, carcinogenesis, cataract formation, chronic radiodermatitis, decreased fertility, and genetic mutations. But the genetic mutation would kill them before they have a chance to pass their mutation via reproduction. Not to mention the mutation can mostly be reverted through DNA repair And reproduction can only be accomplished through incest, which increases the risk of birth defects. Coupled with decreased fertility and the cannibals would not be lasting very long. Ok let's say the mutation began appearing a year after the testing begins......we have a handful of mutated people walking around. The DNA repair start working but their lifes are shortened along with skin disease casued by the radiodermatitis. No one really wants to reproduce with them so they commit incest but......due to decreased fertility, there are only a few babies. Because the reproduction occured in incest, birth defects start appearing. The end results is very few babies that will survive. It's not I am being nitpicking; I'm just saying that scary movies often bend rules to their benefits.

I watched it last night, i didn't care for it. If you thought the trailer was scary (i watched that first), I don't think you could make it through the movie :P
Anyways... It was totally discusting and disturbing. I don't recommend it. It was incredibly gory, ugh i get shivers from thinking about it.
