Let's just say I was riding, front row, on an emotional roller coaster
Every emotion that was available could be felt when watching that movie!

I didn't really cry at all during the movie, only during the book. I was quite content during the movie. It probably was the fact that I already knew what happened. Though, the closest I have come to crying was in the extended edition during the Mount Doom scene when Frodo is holding on and Sam is saying not to let go. You see, I was listening the cast commentary and what they say there can make anyone who likes Frodo cry.

There were definately some touching moments in the films. Things like the march of the rohirrim and gandalf riding to meet the retreating osgiliath force including faramir were respectful moments for me... I was in awe of those thigns. The grey havens was definately sad, as was the scene where Arwen saw her future son. I definately think the musical score was perfect in all the right places too.

I started feeling sad and angry as soon as Pippin had to leave Merry, and then it was just a huge cry fest and whispered screaming at the screen with my friends. We couldn't cry very loud though (we do have our pride ) Then we got the DVD and screamed and sobbed as loud as we wanted to

Well... I'm very emotional during ROTK. First when Arwen is talking with Elrond to reforge the sword; the Edge of Night (sung by Pippin); then when Aragorn dreams and sees Arwen dying; Theoden's death; Gandalf and Pippin's conversation about dying; the whole Mount Doom scenes and the scenes from the battle in front of the Black Gate; the coronation; Gandalf's farewell and finally the sadest moment the hug of Frodo and Sam in the end.

I think that I experienced just about every emotion going while watching that film - bearing in mind that I had not read the book at that point so I was unaware of any changes.
I was angry, joyful, frustrated, sad, scared (that flippin' spider!) but most of all totally exhilarated by it all.
Angry when Frodo sent Sam away, Joyful at the Coronation, sad over the futile charge on Osgiliath - but the biggest thrill for me was the ride of the Rohirrim - both when they left Dunharrow, and when they charged on the Pelennor Fields. The CGI was so good that it really looked like 6000 riders were charging.
My only regret? (cue extremely embarrassing admission!) RotK was the only one of the trilogy that I saw in the cinema - Fellowship I watched on satellite, and Two Towers on DVD. I really wish I'd seen them on the big screen now!

I felt deep admiration and love for Sam and Frodo cuz they´re holding on , I was impressed by Aragorn ("For Frodo"), in short: I went through very intense emotions and cried half of the movie, but I cried the most at the end, cuz Frodo´s leaving and finally because IT WAS OVER!!
Can´t tell anybody how much I love that movie!

It´s the most beautiful song I´ve ever heard.
