I actually just finished reading that chapter and I have concluded that it's the best chapter in all three books But that might change after I re-read TTT and RotK...

Hmm. I might buy it. Besides FotR, TTT, RotK, The Hobbit, and The Sil, is there any other Tolkien works of Middle Earth that are open to the public?
Congrats Larael!

There aren't any other LotR related works by Tolkien, but there are some books about LotR such as The Peoples and Places of Middle-earth, Letters by Tolkien (not actually by Tolkien, thats just the title.) Hmmmmmmmmmmm......I can't think of anymore at the moment.

*mutters to self*. You know, if Tolkien was still alive, I could organize some kind of protest to have him write a follow-up on the LotR. Hmmm. Interesting. His son - was his name Christopher Tolkien? - is still alive I think.

Yes there is! Lots! Unfinished Tales, plus 12 books that make up the 'History of Middle Earth' series:
The Book of Lost Tales 1
The Book of Lost Tales 2
The Lays of Beleriand
The Shaping of Middle-earth
The Lost Road and Other Writings
The Return of the Shadow
The Treason of Isengard
The War of the Ring
Sauron Defeated
Morgoth's Ring
The War of the Jewels
The Peoples of Middle-earth
Unfortunately it's hard to find all twelve of them. At least here it is. I see a couple here and there at different book stores but I bet that a lot of them I would have to special order. I live in Manitoba though. They might be easier for you, depending on where you live.

Thanks!!! You're being so helpful (again). I knew that Tolkien wrote more Middle-Earth related books, but I wasn't sure if they were out for the public since I'd never seen them in bookstores or libraries, and few people ever mentioned them. Does anyone here own any? I wonder how long they are.
Thanks, Beriadanwen!!!

I might be wrong but some of tolkien's book were edited by christopher.
Christopher was in WWII and Tolkien actually sent him manuscripts of all his chapters before sending them to the publisher.

Yep you're right. A lot of Tolkien's books were edited by Christopher Tolkien. I didn't know about Tolkein sending him the manuscripts during WWII though.

I think I will. I wanted to read a Tolkien bio but I didn't know which one to read. Thanx for the recommendation
