*sighs*
I think there's about 57% chance that Remus will die in the next book

^ Really? I'd say it's actually a pretty low change. Surely JKR wouldn't have got to the trouble to getting him together with Tonks at the end of book 6 just to kill him in book 7.

That's what I thought about Sirius before OotP because JKR spent so much time moving Sirus around places, ect.

Well. JKR killed off Sirius, me thinks, is because Harry's so dependant on Sirius's support and she wanst to write it so that Harry has to face things on his own, because remember, the main character is Harry.
I would say that Remus would be killed off IF he had been closer to the Harry in HBP. Except, Remus could not get close to Harry due to his mission and thus we saw less of him. If Harry started to rely on Remus, Remus would really be a candidate to be killed off, but that didn't happen.

Elanor, Kitoky, could you please give me a hint about the Summer Surprise?
*grumbles* I suppose you're right...

JKR might just kill off Lupin because very few people are expecting it. most of us (I thinks) have our eyes set on Ron and Hermione dying.
Kitoky brought up a good point. I believe she killed off Dumbledore because Hogwarts/Harry was growing too dependent on his protection.

^ Hmm.. I'd say that's a bit different though. She was moving him around places so he could be there for Harry, help Harry out, become closer to Harry etc. But it was all necessary for the plot at the time it wasn't because she was setting up further plots involving him.
Now Remus and Tonk's relationship has nothing to do with Harry. It also didn't really have anything to do with the plot in book 6 so it seems very likely it'll still be there in book 7 without an unhappy ending. If JKR did want to give them an unhappy ending I think they would have got together sooner or else never got together and only realised how much they loved each other after one of them had died.

I think the whole incident with Remus and Tonks was to show Remus that love can conquer all and that there are people who look beyond his werewolf heritage.

Exactly!
.I thi
I don't think he's going to be killed in book 7th. I think if he was going to die, he should have been killed in book 6th.

Dumbledore and Remus both dead? that'll spark some emotional resentment towards JKR, don't you think?

Well... I would cry if Remus died in book 6 ----I didn't quite cry for Dumbledore as much. Remus just means so much to me.

Sirius's death impacted me the most, I think. and Dumbledore's as well because it was so unexpected. JKR has a talent with death's. she makes the character stick around for a while, you start thinking the character's granted, the character gets close to you/Harry in the book before he dies, and then the death comes so suddenly.

^Yeah JK knows how to kill her characters. Dumbledore's death was very unexpected.
