BTW, I love Eowyn so much that I dressed as her for my 21st birthday party. That's obsession!!

Eowyn Arelen wrote: You can be my brother! *looks at family* we have mostly girls.... but thats ok!
I will also tell you about Eowyn and Faramir...
Eowyn, after Killing the witch king was taken to the houses of healing.
Faramir after his father's death was also taken to the houses of healing.
Eowyn didnt think she had to stay and wanted to be released so that she could join the men to march into battle in mordor. The guy who was in charge of HOH told her that he had no controll and that she would have to talk to the steward, who was now faramir. So she went to talk to him. that was how they met.....
they became friends and eventually fell in love. Its really a beautiful love story. My favorite in the book acctually! I dont remember all the details, I havnt read it in a while... but do you have the ROTK book? READ IT! Its the best one! I really love that story, I reread it about once in a month... I love the scene when they first met, their walks in the Gardens of the HoH, just everything about them in this story! And Arelen, when did you change your name into Eowyn Arelen? Great Idea! Let's talk about Grima's passion and love to Eowyn. This was one of the points that was never mentioned in the movies.

Right, there are only two scenes in which it is mentioned that something was between them. The first, when Éomer was banished from Rohan and Grima looked at Éowyn. The second, when Éowyn was mourning over Theodred's dead body...
Far too few scenes!

*wanted to join the convo about denethor and eowy, but w/e this one's good^^*
I've always been wondering exactly how grima is attracted to eowyn. I mean, I don't imagine he's able to love for real anymore, he's too broken down by his hatred against saruman.
I also feel that eowyn sometimes is about to give in to grima, cause she so badly wants someone to take care of her, but she realises just in time what a stupid idea it is...
she's so alone... and I think she's scared...

Yes, she has no one to talk to, no one who really takes care of her. Okay, Éomer loves her, but he isn't there, he rides to fight the Uruk hai and so has no time for her. Her Uncle is not able to talk to anyone or to understand anything, and other friends or family members are not left.
So there is only Grima who would take care of her, but of course she doesn't want him to, she needs him, but on the other hand she hates him...

I totally agree, Eowyn. Although Eowyn and Eomer has a fantastic relationship, he's not got much time for her. What she needs is a girl to have girlie-talks with

Yes, and though she doesn't find anyone save Grima, she gets weak when she is alone with him sometimes.

I believe that her story touches everyone! It's a tragedy with a happy ending, for gods sake!
Noone cared for her the way she needed to be treated, what should she do?

You've got a point, what should she do? I've no answer to that. But I think fighting was a good solution (sp?)

Yes, she had the two oportunities: Either she could stay behind, and await the news of the death of her beloved and last family members while doing nothing, or she could ride with them and fight for everything she loves. I think that she has choosen the completely right way.
