How many people here love the band Evanescence?!? I simply love them - a lot of their songs and lyrics have helped me loads in the past, they simply are an amazing band. They started a few years ago, but only really became worldy regonised when they released their album 'Fallen' in 2001 - I think it was 2001, anyway. Their biggest hit song on the album is 'Bring Me To Life', which, if you're interested, Arwen the Webmaster has part of the lyrics to in her signature.

Ummm, actually, Arwen created a Evanescence Fan Club over at the 'Clubs' section - something I only found out recently! I can't believe I never started a club here !

So, what do you lot think of Evanescence?

So yeah, Evanescence is an awesome band. I like how they have the combination of the hard rock backing but still really beautiful (not screaming rap-like) vocals. I haven't found that combination anywhere else except maybe Nightwish.

I know! I keep hopping up and down with impatience - if it's going to be as good, if not better, as Fallen or their previous albums, it'll be fantastic!

A lot of people have said that Evanescence aren't 'original', but I honestly couldn't find a more original band anywhere. It's like Arwen said - how many other gothic rock artists can you find that do songs like 'My Immortal', and try a variety of genres to make one brilliant song? I find that skill amazing!

I'm listening to one of Evanescence's old songs, Fields of Innocence - has anyone else heard of that sing, or any of their older material?

I love their old songs like Field of Innocence, Anywhere, Even in Death. Fallen is one of my favorite albums. Amy Lee's voice is amazing

I've only heard "fallen" (friend copied it for me... )and I only like a few songs from it, but those that I do, I like a lot. It does grow on you.

I absolutely love Evanescence! They're my favourite band ever! I think Amy Lee's voice is amazing. My dad doesn't like them coz he thinks their lyrics are depressing, and my brother calls them 'that death crap' *rolls eyes* but i actually like them more because of that. My favourite song off Fallen is Tourniquet and Whisper, but I like the older ones too like Away From Me (I'm listening to that now), Anywhere, Listen to the Rain, Surrender and all of them. The only one I don't like though is Lies, it sounds to much like a Skipknot sort of song to me. I'm counting down the seconds to their new album coming out
