It is for certain that Boromir could not let her live the way Eowyn wanted to. I guess faramir is the man for her

We could discuss the relationship between Éowyn and Éomer, how they cared for and understood each other. This is one of the topics that interests me most in the whole story.

Actually, when you mentioned it I thought about one particular scene in the EE of (I think) RotK. Eomer talks to Eowyn about war and how awful it is. Sometimes I think that in that scene it shows that Eomer doesn't understand his sister fully - but I kinda also feel that it shows how much he actually understands of her thoughts, cause he tries to make her understand that no matter how much she longs to fight - she's not made for war.

Of this particular scene I thought that Éomer didn't fully understand her and completely underestimatesd her. He talked about how cruel war is and that Éowyn can't imagine what's it like to be a soldier on a battlefield.
So.. I believe that Éomer cares for his sister as for noone else in whole Middle Earth, but he is too often away to understand her thoughts and feelings.

Yeah... but when they've been talking to Theoden he glances at her when he leaves - and I kinda feel that he really understands her then...

^ I can't remember this... which scene is this??? At the moment I just can remember the scene in Dunharrow when they are arguing if she should encourage Merry or not...

I think it's when Eowyn asks Theoden if he will not see his dying son... Eomer has just come back from rescuing Theodred.

I always thought that Éomer looked at Éowyn while he fought with Grima because he now realized that she was Grima's price for betraying King Theoden. He looked rather shocked and in disbelieve.

No, not then. He walks away and glances at Eowyn when he's walking... I think that's what he does, anyway He might be thinking about Grima, though...

Maybe you mean the scene when Theoden says 'And Rohan will answer!' and Éomer pats Éowyn on the shoulder and then walks away? Sorry, I can't think of any other scene at the moment!  _________________ <center>
