It's not a very good picture.

Sure! I can fill it out right now, since a picture won't be up for a long time.
I've made: Eowyn's ShieldMaiden gown, an overcoat inspired by Arwen Chase dress, Civil War/Ren skirt, Ren bodice, blankets, pillows, cloaks.
I would like to make: Arwen's Blood Red Dress and Requiem Dress.
I'm working on: Civil War Ball Gown, and Scottish Ren costume.
Did I do it right?

Well, I've *almost* got the top done...
I've made a parachute for my dad's huge rocket. It was kinda interesting-it's made of red ripstop nylon. Very hard to work with, and my sewing machine is being weird-I have to have the tension all the way up, no matter what the kind of fabric it is!
I've almost got the overdress done for my Req. dress. I've just got to sew the last panel on the back, then sew the front & back together, then sew on the trim.
WHEEE!
I have another project I want to do too-Padme's Lavendar nightdress. Or whatever color it is.
But I'm not sure when I'll get that made.

Wow!! That's awesome Elle! *Pats on back* I know how you feel about the tension problem. I had the same deal with my old sewing machine. It got so bad that I had to get a new one. -_- Quite annoying.
SUCCESS!! I finished my Scottish skirt, and tonight I will begin the shawl and overskirt. *Is rather giddy* I hope to be done with both of them tonight, so I may start the bodice tomorrow. (I didn't have a large budget, so I had to buy shirts to wear underneath -_-) Next week I begin my Civil War Ball Gown.
By the way, before I begin my overskirt and bodice, does anyone know of a pattern for one of those bodice connected with the overskirt things? I guess they're like aprons, except not. I dunno. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a pattern. All I know is that Simplicity used to have a pattern for it, but I can't find the number ANYWHERE.

I have a question about something ... can anyone help me? For my cloak, I wanted to sew this part around the neck where I can fit a string through ... so that I can tighten the cloak at the neck a bit sometimes ... does that make sense? Like ... I want to make a sort of tube part where I can string the string like a drawstring ... it's really confusing ... can anyone explain to me how to do it in simple words?

you know....i do think it would be simpler to add the string to the neck and you can tighten it even though it might not move(i dont know how to do it, its just raw idea material)

Yeah that's a good idea, but I wanted to sew it on ... and make it like a drawstring or something...

Have you ever used bias tape?(Single fold) That should work. Just sew it to the inside of the neck and it's just like a tube. I hope that helped!
YESSSS!! It took me 3 hours, but I'm finally done with my Scottish shawl!! It only took me 10 minutes to cut out the pattern and the fabric, but fraying the whole thing took the rest of the time. It was quite frustrating. I'm just glad that it's done! (By the way, my skirt and shawl are matching. ^_^)

You're welcome! That's what I used when I needed to tighten the sleeves on one of my dresses, and it worked great.
