Huzzah! I went to see the movie again gents! To me, the movie seems longer than the first time I saw it, which sounds strange, but it's true gents.

you will not be dissapointed Ruby Tighfield ofTookbank, yeah i went and saw it again last night Pippin and it did seem longer...my friend lent me this book call "A history of Pirates" It's quite interesting to learn about all of the different ships and weapons that privateers and buccaneers used. Did you know that buccaneers got their name because of the way the smoked meat over fires?

anyone know why they changed composers for teh second movie?

historically Tortuga(Turtle Island) was an island and Port Royal was the bad pirate town but i liked how they changed it for PotC. Port Royal sounds less creepy/evil than Tortuga.

Tortuga was also used by pirates though.

Fun fact: On June 7, 1692, a devastating earthquake hit Port Royal causing the sand spit on which it was built to liquefy and flow out into Kingston Harbour. The effects of tsunamis caused by the earthquake further eroded the sand spit, and soon the main part of the city lay permanently underwater, though intact enough that archaeologists have managed to uncover some well-preserved sites. The earthquake and tsunami killed between 1,000 and 3,000 people combined, over half the city's population.

That is very interesting! Thank you for sharing that!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the movie on the 7th as planned, but I did get to see it on the 8th at the 9pm showing in Kamloops, BC, Canda! I loved it! It was SOOO awesome. I have also already read the book! lol! I read about 1/4 of it before I saw it. There are some differences in the beginning and end, but that is it.

I love the last minute of the movie, haha! what a suprise!!!!

Yes, I could understand something like that, lol. But she did do it for a reason, the only problem is she has to tell Will that. Like at the end, when they're with Tia Dalma, and Elizabeth is crying, Will probably thinks it's because she loves Jack. She just needs to tell him she feels guilty for being responsible for his death. I still think that Will and Elizabeth will work everything out though.

Yeah...poor liz. She's probably not in love with Jack at all. She just has a crush...hey...he is a charming man! I'm just jealous she got to kiss jack. She is feeling guilty, but I'm not gonna say she's in love. Look at the clues! She does seem to have a crush. Norrington still thinks she is harboring feelings for Jack. The whole compass ordeal too! What about that? However, I thought she was flirting with Jack to get the letters, or she just wants some fun. :-D She can't resist him, mate! Neither can I.

SPOILERS

With the whole compass thing, I was hoping and praying that it wasn't pointing TO Jack, but pointing to Will, who just happened to be in the same direction that Jack was standing. :D :P

I can't resist him either... same with Will

Just saying what I thought with the movie, I hated it and loved it at the same time... I loved it because it was just done so well, but with the whole Jack- Will fighing scene (lol i left out Norrington, cos I just hate him for what he did), I didn't know who to go for, so I just sat there, sobbing, saying "My life is over. My life is over"

I couldn't believe that they'd actually threatened each others lives. I thought they were friends... I mean, you would think so, at the end of CotBP... where they do their whole somersault choreography thing together :D *sigh* oh, happy days they were. :D

!!!SPOILERS!!!

Tia Dalma and Jack Sparrow were once past lovers. She gave a magical compass that points to what ever you want. I'm pretty sure it's not your heart's desire, because in the movie it said want, not desire.

There are rumors that Tia Dalma might have been Davy Jone's lover because they have identical lockets. If this is not true, she must at least have some relations with Davy's lover. There is also a connection between the characters by their musical themes. Davy Jone's musical box melody is in Tia Dalma's score, but at a slower rhythm.

Calypso's Fury was a working title for the third movie, but it is now At World's End. Calypso was the goddess of the sea possibly suggesting Davy's lover. Some even think Tia Dalma is Calypso, but in disguise.
