Love it!
The first big movie that captured my attention and brought me to geekdom.
Love them all 1-6 but the original trilogy will always hold a special place in my heart.

I like the original trilogy, but I love Episodes II-III. Ep. I isn't my favorite film in the new trilogy.

I really love the originals... they are some of my favorite movies. I don't really care for I, II, and III, they are somehow boring to me. Anyways... i'm not sure which is my favorite, V or VI.

The Originals are the best...mainly cuz they have more of a plot..but I also like the New Trilogy because of the improved techinology, if you know what I mean?

I remember, my dad took me to see the originals at some sort of 20th anniversary or maybe the theatre was just deciding to show them all again...but I was 6 years old at the time and I was just awestruck. I loved them ALL! I entered the "geekdom of Star Wars" at a very young age. So, the original trilogy will always be my favourite. Mainly because they're cooler...and Yoda rocks as a puppet!!! Yoda, Alec Guiness's Obi Wan and Luke were my favourites.

But I do love the new ones. Episode III is probably, in my opinion, the best (of ALL). Story wise, and I think George actually figured out how to write. Ha ha ha. It was more emotionally charged than any of the others. The writing in all of them basically suck, but as a friend of mine pointed out, the writing doesn't matter...it's the story line....that counts. And I like the new ones, if only for Ewan McGregor. Episode II is SO horrible...the only reason I could sit through it is because of Ewan...and his mullet. *sigh*

So I love them all...except for Episode II.

The top part of your post sounds a lot like me Montana. I was about 6 or 7 when I first saw A New Hope and just fell in love completely.
I wanted to be Princess Leia so bad lol
She is still somewhat of a role model to this day...and she bagged Han lucky woman.

I like Eps 1-3, especially RotS. But my fave out of all of them is most definetly Empire. Most movies I'd seen up to that point all had happy smiley endings, this one ended so bleakly. That was why I think it made such an impact on me.

I love all six of them!!!! Expecting the lord of the rings, they're my favorite! My prequel favorite is The Revenge of the Sith and out of the originals, I like the Empire Strikes Back...

I love Star Wars I think the Original Trilogy is better than the Prequel Trilogy. Best of those movies is Return of the Jedi. Attack of the Clones was my favourite for almost 4 years just because I love the story between Anakin and Padmé in that episode
My favourite characters are Han Solo and Chewbacca

But I love Leia, she's sassy, snarky, feisty and generally could look after herself.

Boba Fett also oozed cool from every pore. For a character that has limited screentime and lines. He is just awesomeness.

Not forgetting Vader in ANH and Empire. Rawr.

Ooo and the Imperial Guards. Silent but menacing.

I saw A New Hope in theaters too (the theater re-ran it)... I was very young at the time (5 or 6) and I can't quite remember whether I liked it or not

Well..my family had the special edition trilogy set...since..I think it was before I was born, but I've loved the movies since I was like 3-4 years old. My favorite was Return of the Jedi...mainly cuz of the cuutteee Ewoks!
