"besoin" means "need", you probably got that mixed up with the other phrase that means you want something, "j'ai ______ de" i can't remember what the word is right now....

"besoin" can be interpreted both as want and need. (well according to my French dictionary) 
Question: how do you pronounce Pirates in French? (I'm talking about Pirates of the Caribbean in my Alliance Francaise oral assessment next week   )

I had my Alliance Francaise test. It was horrible. I felt like crying when I came out. I did quite well when I first started, then he asked me a question about my teachers. I didn't know what he was saying, so I just hung my head and said, "Pardon, monsieur, je ne comprends pas." So he gave me some options to choose from, and I said "ils sont gentille... most of them." i didn't even realise that I spoke English... it just slipped. The examiner was from Marseille, and he didn't know much English, so he was kinda looking confused. So then he said something else that I couldn't understand... and I just stared, looking blank faced. It turned out that he said the test was done and i could go, and i didn't understand until he said "C'est finit." I was so red, and i was really upset. So I forced a smile and said, "Bon journee." And I walked out. It was really embarrassing. And i didn't even get to say "Le Seigneur des Anneaux" or "Les Pirates des Caraibe"

sure! new members are always welcome....and that's so cool that's its' your first language, i'm just learning it in public school....
aw i'm sorry things didn't go as you had hoped Melti, but it is VERY hard to understand people that are french or that has it as a first langugage for us students...  _________________ <center> </center>

Yeah...French is difficult...it has all these stupids rules with exeptions...English is easy to learn:)
(I can help you in french if you want...but please tell me if I make some mistakes in English  ) _________________
