I'm actually pretty worried about what Saphira will look like. I don't think it's particularly easy to do a dragon and I hope they do a good job, or the movie will fall rather flat.

About Arya's dress... I don't think she will be wearing that through out the whole movie. Maybe she will be wearing it while she's in Tronjheim? I don't know but I don;t think elves would ever just decide "hey I'll wear a strapless dress while I'm carrying a dangerous dragon egg in my lap, that I could possibly get killed for!" :-D So that's what I think.

Yeah, that is what I'm thinking as well. For some reason, I think Murtagh looks like Edward Scissorhands. It's just a strange thing I thought.

He does! I think it's the pale face and the straggly dark hair.

You know, they asked Sir Ian McKellen to be Brom, but he turned them down becuz he was busy with X-men!

I'm glad they just considered it and didn't choose him or whatnot....
I think they made a good choice! Edward Speleers resembles sort of what I imagined Eragon to look like...So I'm happy it wasn't 'Lij, that would be strange....I think I would have to remind myself that he's not Frodo in this movie.....nor Huckleberry Finn... :duh:

Yeah, I'd start wondering where Sam was and have to slap myself and go, "Eragon. Eragon. Not Frodo."

I'm right here! Jk, lol. May I just say 'AH!!!' to the Lij thing. That's so scary. Not how I pictured Eragon at all. And *trinity* , thank you very much. I love it to. Eldarwen made it for me. I am part of Edward's fan club :-D

The thing about Lij is he's sorta...if you've seen Green Street hooligans you know how ridiculous he looks when he tries to be tough or brave or fight or anything. Him playing Eragon would be less than magical, you could say

*shudders* Elijah may be a good actor, and he may have been great as Frodo, but I could never picture him as Eragon. Totally wrong. I think their pick was a good one.
Considering the amazing amount of special-effects we can do now, I don't think Saphira will be a problem. Narnia's creatures turned out okay, and they probably weren't a whole lot easier.

I may have to disagree with you on that (that Narnia was around the same difficulty), because Dragons are very emotional creatures with large, intricate wings that have to move a certain way to fly, and especially with Saphira. She is an intelligent, large, creature. Where she can't physically talk, they have to portray all of that in the way she moves and such. You can only compare a dragon to a dragon, after all. And I saw Dragons in harry potter. Considering what they were able do there, I think Saphira should turn out pretty well. I mean, I doubt she'll be as spectacular as she was in my mind, but I think she'll be very well done.

If it had been Elijah, I would have to keep reminding myself that this isn't Frodo...and he doesn't have much of a warrior look I don't think. Frodo wasn't supposed to be so he was good for that role...

Hey everyone...Shur'tugal updated saying that Fox now says that the Eragon trailer will be attached to a *cough*reallyreallydumb-looking-movie*cough* movie called Snakes on a Plane, which is out August 17th, but that the trailer will probably be online the day before...or something like that.

W00T!

There is absolutely no way I'd ever want to see the snakey movie, but I'll watch an internet trailer a million times :)

[edits]

Don't ask why I'm up at 3:39 AM...I just am; didn't feel like going to sleep, and anyway, to make a long story short, still not being happy with how Arya looks, I decided to make my own full-body version using a picture of the Arya actress (Sienna Guillory? so hard to spell :teehee: ) from the movie Resident Evil. I took that base picture, gave her Guinevere from King Arthur's hair, Aragorn's chainmail sleeves, King Arthur's armored skirt, and a random costume shop person's trousers. The result:

Image

I'm happy with it :p

Anyway, it just makes me really mad, because Sienna really could look like how I picture Arya, and if some photo editing can make her look that way (almost exactly how I pictured Arya), why can't the filmmakers do a better job? They better... :grr:
