I'm reading Sword at Sunset by Rosemary Sutcliff. It is a retelling of King Arthur, and fourth in her Eagle of the Ninth series, which is a set in Britain from the early second century through the fall of Rome to the time of King Arthur.
It was first published in 1963, and has been out of print since the 80's, so I'm extremely proud of myself for finding a first edition hardcover for ten bucks.

At the moment I'm reading "The Day of the Jackal" by Fredrick Forsyth. It's pretty cool.

Well, I started a book called The Riddles of Epsilon by Christine Morton-Shaw, but I don't know if I'll finish it. It's getting kinda spooky and witchcrafty, and the characters aren't exactly morally sound, which annoys me.

I love Sword at Sunset! I have it checked out from the library right now, in fact! lol I'm still reading Xenocide, though.

Finished "I, Coriander" yesterday, and now I'm reading "Prince Over the Water". They are both really good books!

Earthsea ~ Ursula Le Guin... NOW I see where Chris Paolini got his inspiration from for Eragon and Eldest... a combination of both LotR and Earthsea

Well, I'm currently re-reading "The Mists Of Avalon" which is an absolutetly fantastic book. However, I've come to the part in it which starts to anger me the most. The second part of the book...if anyone else here knows what I'm talking about. EVIL GWENYFAR!!!! GRRRRR!!!!! *sigh* Anyways....so, I'm going fairly slowly...ha ha ha. Have to prepare myself NOT to rip the book to shreds.

^I've read Mists of Avalon. I LOATHE how the author portrays Gwenhyvar (one of the reasons it's not my favorite King Arthur book). you should read Queen of the Summer Stars. Gwen rocks in that book.
I'm currently reading Scarecrow, by Matthew Reilly.

^^I think I've heard of that book...I'll definately have to give it a go. See...I don't mind how she's portrayed, she just makes me so angry...how she thinks and acts....*slams head on desk* WHY can't she just be cool like Morgaine?! Ha ha ha. The funny thing is though, of all the King Arthur books I've read...MOA is probably my favourite because it's from the point of view of the women.....and I guess being a feminist...well...you get the idea. Ha ha ha. But "The Queen Of Summer Stars" is one I'll definately check out! Thanks!

Hmm I read the Mists of Avalon a long time ago... I was very young I'm not sure I understood everything in the books, so I was left with this unsatisfactory impression. Perhaps it's time to read them again. How many are there and which one would you say is the best?
Owh wait a minute... there's gotta be an actual thread for the books... perhaps I should try to find that...
And by the way, I'm currently re-reading The Two Towers, but you all will know what that is about, lol
