Looks like I haven't posted here in a while. I'm going to have to change that.
I really liked how you said "sip the sweet and cast away the bitter". that really makes a lot of sense and was very well said.

Why thank you Itarilde! And I'm really glad to see another fan of Frodo posting here! You should stop by more often! If you look at some older posts from the page before this, everyone asked questions about Frodo. You could answer those! I'd like to hear what you have to say!
~T.T

EDIT: Eariel, you're going to be weirded out, but apparently, Elijah has the same opinions about Frodo's inner light as you do.
"• (talking about Frodo) "He's just got a spirit, you know? That's what I love about him...he's very alive and very lively. You don't get to see a lot of that--only in the beginning of the first film--but his spirit, the light that's in him, is what holds him together." - E!Online"
That's from his cast bio at TheOneRing.net. It reminded me of what you said, so I thought I'd post it so you could see!

*momentarily loses it* Oooh, i agree with you, Elijah! :-o lol :P That is so cool that he thinks that too! Thanks for posting that!
It is true that he has that beautiful spunk, you know? That's one of the reasons i like the party scene in fotr--you can see it, especially in that bit where he's dancing. *swoons at the memory of his expression* (I actually did just do a portabre--however you spell it--back, which is what we call a backwards bend in ballet talk, lol. ;) Comes in handy when you feel like swooning.) Also, you can see it when he's talking to Gandalf, especially where he says "You're late." Can you tell i got psyched all of a sudden when you posted that? :P I'm being my usual effervescent-when-happy self, lol.
I liked " sip the sweet and cast away the bitter," like Itarilde said. (You should come on here more often :) , seeing as we won't have Forever's beloved presence for a while. :'( We'll miss you, girl! )
I also liked "He knows just what to say to break someone's heart! " He does! Maybe it's because he's so sweet and...kind, yet also has a knowledge of unearthly, deeper things.
I agree that the Quenya course (I'm not sure if they have another one, although there are loads of articles about the languages of Middle-earth) on Ardalambion is good. It taught me that Elventoungue, after all! :P I'd recommend it when you have time, and also...don't be discouraged by all the pronounciation and stress rules they give you in the first lesson. I might suggest that you keep reviewing them as you go along, and as you need to. Same with all the lessons. (There's a summary at the end of each lesson, which is helpful.)
That's enough for now. I need to go to bed, unfortunately. Post with you tomorrow, lol! :)

:P I thought that might make you happy.
He does really have such an amazing spirit. I do love how they show Frodo happy in the beginning and dancing in the Shire (I absolutely love the part where he is dancing! I laugh so hard every time! LOL. Frodo.)
I think that the reason they showed those parts with the happy Frodo at the beginning though, is to have a stronger contrast with the Frodo who is posessed by the Ring. Which definitely worked, if that's what they were trying to do. For me at least.
Yes. This is the first morning in a while that I've come on and there is no post from Forever. *sigh* :'( But there is a post from Eariel! Hooray! And Forever left us that beautiful picture to keep us company while she was away! *remembers picture* *skips off to go admire it*

Yes. That was in the other club, though... (If you people want, one of us can post it here as well...i don't think Forever would mind. :) ) *sigh* I suppose that for now, Forever is kind of like Frodo, because she's away (temporarily, thank goodness!) and we miss her. :*(

What else can i say?...well, let me reiterate: Frodo has a wonderful spirit. :) You're right, it does show a stark contrast. It makes me sad, how he lost so much of that carefree joy. Not really lost, though. I think he'll find it again in Elvenhome, "and that is an encouraging thought." ;) I'm glad they showed it in the beginning too, though...*swoons again at the memory of dancing Frodo* :P

Yes. The swooning. LOL. I can picture you doing one of your back bend thingies. That's cool that you do ballet by the way. ;)
The Frodo funky chicken! Yes. It was rather nice. It makes me so happy when I watch it. Probably because Frodo is so happy.
You're right. I don't think Forever would mind if we copied and pasted the present here, just so we'd have it in both places. Shall I?
It is an encouraging thought to think of Frodo finding his old happiness in Valinor again. Every time I see the scene of the anniversary of Weathertop, I really want to hug Frodo and just hold him and make all of his pain go away. But I'm weird that way. :P
Hmmmm..... we need to think of another good Frodo topic to talk about. Ideas anyone? I suppose I could pull something out of the air if we need it, but I'd like to see if anyone else wants to say something first.
So....... the floor is open...... for anything Frodo related. Somebody take the mich.
Post with you later! :P

I think posting it would be a good idea. Do you want to do the honors? :) (Like you said, 'the floor is open'. ;) )
Well, i must be weird as well, because i feel the same way, lol. :P *must...hug...Frodo...*
Thanks--i like ballet. 'Back bend thingies,' lol. I like that name. :P (Don't worry--i of course don't expect you to get all our step names right on the first try. ;) )
Well, i actually do have something...*becomes shy* There's this fanfic i wrote where Frodo is 13 and Sam is 2 (they have a huge age gap, you see--somewhat obviously), where they're waiting for Merry to be born. My very first fanfic, actually. :) Here--i'll post the link. It's on my 'blog.

http://www.xanga.com/Lissalil_Tailavre

If you like it, i was inspired to write by my online friend, Storyteller--and here's a link to her site... ;)

First of all, lovely fanfic. I'm not into writing fanfic myself, because a lot of the time it's just people stealing other people's ideas and messing them up. This is different though. I've only had time to read part one so far, and I have to go to bed soon actually, but I'll be back for part two tomorrow! So far, I really love the part where you talk about Frodo's eyes. Elvish eyes. :) And "the last piece of blue sky not veiled by stormclouds. Long lashes fluttered over it." Really amazing way to put it. And distingiushing between raindrops and tears. Nice.
I'd love to post Forever's picture here. I'm sure she wouldn't mind. In fact, she'd probably appreciate the free advertising for her amazing graphics. The only problem is, my computer doesn't want to let me paste it here. :throw: So I can't. :'(
And of course I know the name of your ballet moves. Portabre, right? Something like that! I swear by the Valar that I didn't cheat! Honest! I just thought that back bend thingies sounded better. :P
No need to be shy about your fanfic. It's awesome so far. I can't wait to read the rest tomorrow! Thanks for sharing it by the way! I love reading other people's stuff. Almost as much as I love writing my own. ;)
~T.T
Edit: I've just finished it! I loved it Eariel. It was really cute and touching. Although, I'm not so sure about this Daisy character. ;) LOL. Just kidding! I really did like it. It's an adorable story about the beginnnings of Frodo and Sam's friendship. You used good description, but not too much. Overall, a very enjoyable tale! Once again, I thank you for sharing! :)

You're welcome, and thank you! (My friend Storyteller likes to put in a bit of a crush or something between Frodo and Sam's sister Daisy, so that started out as, you know, a tribute to her. That thread has grown, though, since then...in the sequel i'm writing, for example. :P If you liked my story, you should check out that site i posted the link to as well. Storyteller is good at writing fanfics. :) )
I'm sorry about the portabre thing (or however you spell it--i just hear my teacher say it, not see it written :hide: ), btw. I just didn't want you to feel bad if you didn't know what it was called...i really do like 'back bend thingies', though.
I'll post the pic then [s]or try to[/s] :P , if your computer's giving you problems. Here it is :) :

(Even though this is to a different club, i think she might say the same to this one, as well. :) )

Don't worry Eariel. I wasn't offended or anything. I just wanted you to know that I knew what it was called. :) No big deal. I like back bendy thingies too. :P
I think I will go check out the other link you posted. I really liked your fanfic, so if that's going to be anything like it, I'd probably enjoy it.
 The present. So beautiful. I'm so glad it's here. Thanks for posting it. :)

You're welcome. I'm glad you weren't offended, btw.
Oh yes, you should go look at them! :P They're very good, or at least i think so. If you think my fanfic is like them, i take that as a compliment. :)
*is a lucky girl* My sisters have been asking to watch FotR a lot lately, so i got to see Frodo dancing twice today...! :-o *swoons* :P

Grrrr....... *is jealous* Oh to see Frodo dance again! I'm actually working on gettin the new limited edition LOTR DVDs that are coming out. They seem like they will be completely amazing, so hopefully I can get something together and buy them and then I can watch Frodo dancing all day long!!!!!!!! But just in case it doesn't happen, I'd better not get myself too excited.
I don't have classes today (Huzzah!) So I think I'll probably have time to read some of the other fanfic. I do have to go buy a few things (sadly, the LOTR limited editoins are not one of them :'() but I should have time when I get back.
Hmmmm........ we need another good topic for our Frodo discussion. Ideas anyone?

^I heard about that new edition. (The one that came out on the 29 of August, right?) I want to get it, too! I hear the documentaries really give you a "fly on the wall" experience. Here's the link to a thread that talks about it on A&F...

http://always.ejwsites.net/YaBBSE/index ... adid=30797

(Hopefully that link works. ;) )

We just started school today. I've started reading Beowulf for the first time, as well as about the Vikings and Norse legends, so seeing the Rohirrim earlier this evening (as i said in the other club, we rented TTT ;) ) was almost like being in that world again.
Back to topic... :hide: Let's see...i'm not sure of a Frodo topic we could talk about...well, i did remember what you said about loving Frodo and thinking he's wonderful whatever he's doing, because I noticed myself doing it (again) too! :P When he was eating lembas bread, to be precise. ;) ("Oh, he has such a nice way of chewing," lol!)

hi, I am very happy to join this club, cause I am madly in love with LOTR and all the characters and actors, especially heavenly Frodo/Elijah.
I'd like to take part in your plans to celebrate this heavenly small creature,

cheers!! :bye2:

First of all, welcome Earendil! We're very glad to have you. Hopefully we will have many beautiful posts about Frodo together.
Just wondering, do you have a nickname or something that you go by? Because I'm too lazy to type out Earendil every time, but I'll do it if you don't have anything else you like to be called.
Yes, the new limited editions look so amazing. I'm still trying to figure out how long they'll be out for. Does anyone know?
I've heard that Tolkien himself was a big fan of Beowulf. It sounds pretty cool. And reading about the Vikings is interesting as well. It sounds like you get to read a lot of good stuff for school.
Yes, Frodo chews beautifully. :P But I'm not kidding, he really does.
