^Ain't it true. ;)
Yeah, i'm doing medieval history this year (i'm homeschooled, actually :) ), so...yep, it's cool, lol. :P Now back to topic...

Welcome Earendil! Maybe we could call you EL or Light, or something? (I like that last one as a nickname...sounds a bit Elvish, being called Light. ;) Sort of like Forever being our nickname for ForeverFrodo. *sigh* I miss her...)
Hopefully we'll have lots of lovely Frodo posts for you and everyone else to read. :) Isn't it sad, btw, how big of a change takes place in him from the beginning of Fotr to the beginning of TTT? Something i noticed yesterday. So much of that carefree, youthful joy has been swallowed up in being worn by the Quest and the Ring. Not lost, though. He'll find himself again in Tol Eressea. :)

The first night after I finished LOTR, I couldn't sleep at all. I was so uncomfortable. I felt like a part of me was missing, yet somehow more full. Maybe that doens't make any sense. It was weird.
I felt so sad that Frodo had to deal with all of that pain after the quest of the Ring was over. The poor hobbit! he'd gone through enough! Couldn't he just have one minute of the peace he deserved? but then I remembered. Frodo was going to Valinor. He was going to be able to find peace there. And I felt better after that. The thought is so comforting to me.
It is remarkable how much Frodo chaged from the beginning of FOTR to the end of TTT. And to think, that was only a fraction of the pain he had yet to endure. He goes on. For Middle Earth. For the world that he knows he can no longer enjoy after being a Ringbearer. That's why I can't stand it when people call Frodo selfish! :explode: Would a selfish person give up everything they had to save a world that they couldn't enjoy anymore? NO! But a brave and honorable and selfsacrificing and loving person would. Frodo. Frodo did it. Frodo is a truly amazing and remarkable hobbit.
Ok. I think I have ranted sufficiently or today. Sorry. I can get overly excited and pasionate about LOTR. Especially Frodo. You should have seen me rebuking this one girl in another thread because she called Frodo a cry baby....... yeah. Ok. I'm done.
~T.T
P.S. I like Light. It's a cool nickname. As is Forever. Only ten more days until she's back! :) I miss her too.

Sorry. I've said we don't have to change your nickname if you don't want. I only thought Earendil was a bit long, but if that's really what you want to be called, I'm fine with it. Earendil is good too.
Yeah, we said in previous posts how we love Frodo when he does anything. Eariel was just saying that because she noticed it while she was watching TTT.
Sorry about the nickname.

Erm......... Lady Earwen? I've got nothing against your graphics. They're lovely. I've got one in my siggy right now. But perhaps the Frodo club is not the best place to advertise? Unless it was Frodo related graphics......
Just a suggestion. Please don't be offended.

I've thought of an interesting topic. Have any of you ever had a dream about Frodo? Because I love hearing dreams, and ones about Frodo would be especially good. So, if you have, please share them! :)
I'm afraid that's about all I can think to say at the moment. I'm very very sleepy..................... :zzsoft: .

I haven't had very many dreams of Frodo...Mine have mainly been of Elijah. :P However, i have written loads of poems where we sort of "meet" in a dream...if that counts. If you want, i can post one or two of those. :)
Earendil it is, then. ;) Don't worry--you don't have to change your name. My nickname is Eariel, so i know sort of how you feel.

^ Would you please? I just love reading your poems. They're wonderful.
Yeah. Both of you have long nicknames. But that's alright. :-D I love you anyways. Sometimes people call me Tinuviel instead of TT. It makes me feel special. :P

I dream every single night. The problem is, I don't always remember my dreams. I have kind of a vague sadow left, so I know thta I dreamed, I just can't remember what it was. Sometimes I remember them though. They're usually very bizarre. I don't remember any I've ever had about Frodo........... could it be that he has never been in my dreams? *gasp* No. I'm sure I've dreamt about him one time or another. The nights after I had finished LOTR, books and movies, I couldn't fall asleep, but when I did fall asleep, i minaly dreamed of LOTR all night. And usually for a while after too. I can't remember any to share now though. But please other people share!

And Eariel, please do post those poems!

why are you scared by long nicknames? :-D
thanx to all for the welcomes (is there any other Italian in this Frodo club??)
yes I think I should change my avatar.. I will take a look around here!
about dreaming......... I often have nightmares so I can't dream about Frodo or Elijah.... but I always daydream about them.. I had never seen the movie since some months ago but since the first shot I could not forget those eyes....... I hope you'll understand

I'm not scared of long nicknames. I just think it kind of defeats the purpose of a nickname if it's still long. It's really not a big deal. Names are really not abig deal. It's the person that you are.
I'm not Italian, and I know Forever is German, but there could be another Italian here. Who knows?
Yes. I do understand. I completely understand. From the first time you see them, they kind of haunt you. It's true.

^ *shew* *sighs with relief* Thank goodness! It's no big thing, I just would rather not have anyone get in trouble with the Mods if i can help it.
And Earendil, if you do want graphics, Lady Earwen makes lovely ones and I'm sure she would make one for you. :) She made me that Frodo banner in my siggy. The 'believe and you will find your way' one.
Ok. Now that I have said something about Frodo...... I have done my duty in this post. That's all for now.

All right, if you want me to post a couple poems, i will. :) (To tell the truth, i like doing it--i just don't want to force my work on people. ;) ) I think I've posted this first one before...somewhere on the forum...anyway, it's about my "meeting" Frodo in a dream--like i said before, i only imagined it, didn't really dream it. I like this song, though.
The other two aren't as much in that catagory, except in that they're from my own point of view (not a character's) and they're about Frodo. The second song I'm posting is as if i were standing at the Grey Havens along with Sam, Merry and Pippin, watching Frodo sail. The third is actually written to Rosie, about our respective loves. ;)

Dawn Dream
At the break of the day, as we stand in the Dawn,
I will sing with the Sun at her rising:
On a high-lifted hill, neath a sky silver wan,
You will know you're the light of my prizing!

Ever more I will sing--let us wing to Bright-heaven:
Arda's glades cannot keep those who leap to the sky!--
On this shore, all our song can't belong, deeply graven:
Endor fades--all is white--dearest light, let us fly!

With a silvery song, see the Star of the Morn--
Like the light of my heart, she is singing:
Like that spark, you're my star, as the shadows are shorn,
And for you in the light I am winging!

Let us seek for the West--there to rest, lost from Ambar:
Middle-earth we forsake--billows break, white with foam--
Worn and weak, Earth may fall--yet her all, we'll remember--
On the Firth, starlight gleams--lost in dreams, let us roam!

Like a wind of the sky, winged child of Light,
You and I were not born for this waning:
Let us wing through the stars as a gleam silver-white,
Where the mist glimmers grey, softly raining--

Let us rise--long we pass silver glass, bright and blissful:
Watch the Dawn set her light on the white Mountain-tine!--
To the skies--Valmar's bell--Earth's farewell, wan and wistful:
Sunrise yon glimmers far--Elvenstar, let us shine!

Evening Deepens Down

Evening deepens down to Night
For us here on mortal Earth--
But westward beckons silver light
To vessel grey on starlit firthe:
West lie countries fair and free,
With Sunrise swift to skies above:
Fair folk pass from sorrow's lee--
And with them sails one I love.

He returns from Shadow's door--
Wounded deep and sorrowclad:
He goes to heal on timeless shore,
And for him now my heart is glad:
Yet those countries ever blest
Seem to me as would my home:
How I long to sail West--
To dwell there under Varda's dome!

Forbidden are veils of silver glass--
But apart for one I love they'll flow:
The Keepers and the Bearers pass,
And on with them I cannot go:
The Westward Road is not yet mine,
And there is joy, while Earth I roam:
Yet call me when the wavetops shine--
For one day I will journey home.

The Morn and the Evening

You've chosen the Morning--the gold of the Sun--
And all shall rejoice when the day is begun:
Yet I chose the Evening--the light of the Star--
A beauty in darkness no shadow may mar:
Light-hearted, we sing in the Spring of the World--
And all Summer's glory will soon be unfurled:
Yet Evening must pass in a silver twilight--
The Evening Star glimmers, a dream far and white.

With silvery singing, the Dawn woke my heart--
Ethereal joy met the Day's blissful start:
But twilight is come, and the Hither Shore fades,
And starlight is brighter in Elvenhome's glades:
My Evening Star passes where nothing shall wane--
Where Dawn breaks the curtain of sivery rain:
On Earth's shore I stand at the closing of day,
And watch as an Elvenship bears him away.

The Star-folk are passing--to you comes the Dawn:
Bid welcome the Sun when the shadows are gone!
May your days be given all I could have had--
I wistfully wish that your heart shall be glad:
For you are the maiden beloved of Morn--
Of laughter and hope that shall never grow worn:
But here in the twilight I'll wander and sing,
And fly to the starlight by numinous wing.

Beautiful as always Eariel. You make me so jealous. LOL. Just kidding. I really do love your poems though. And I can tell that you love posting your stuff. You're proud of it. And you have every right to be. I'd be proud too if I wrote stuff like that. So you're not forcing your work on me at all. I enjoy it! I'm sure Frodo would love them if you read them to him. And who knows, maybe you'll get to someday? Stranger things have happened. You just have to keep hoping.........

You'll have to excuse me for the short post today. I have a migraine and I need to go sleep. :zzsoft: Talk to you guys later.

Aw, i hope you feel better. Thanks, btw! :) I do love posting my stuff. :P Well...i do wish [s]well, hope[/s] that i'd be able to show Frodo (the character i mean) some of my stuff, strange as that sounds...but you never know what can happen beyond this World. ;) Of course, it'd be nice to show a poem or two to Elijah, too... *gets nervous just thinking about it* I hope he'd like them as well! :hide: Of course, he seems to like pretty much everything that fans give him, you know, so...anyway. The thought's still a bit...'butterfly-ish'. In the stomach area. ;)
TT (I started writing 'Forever' lol :hide: ---only 5 more days till she comes back! :) *dances with joy*), you should keep writing, and i think you'll get better and better. I know i did--i mean, my first poems were, well, not as good as i could do now. Did i ever tell you my first song about Arwen was to the tune of Jingle Bells? *hides* Well, i could post it if you want...ask and ye shall receive. :P (But only if you ask. ;) I don't mind as much as it sounds like i do, though, lol.)

Wohoo, I'm back! *huggles everybody*
I just read the last pages and laughed a lot. :-D It's a weird feeling to read what other people were talking about you. But in a positive way, of course! :-)
I missed you, too! And it was nice of you to post my gift also in this club.

I agree with everything that was said. Frodo's chicken dance is great, he chews beautifully and the difference between the happy Shire-Frodo and the suffering Ring-Frodo makes me sad, very sad. But I love him for it.

Don't be too mean to poor Lady Earwen! ;-) Graphic makers just need a bit of advertisement :P

Eariel, your Poems were amazing. I love the way you use the beautiful English language ;-)

I have a lot more to say, but my parents are not pleased with the long time I spend in front of my computer :disgust:
See you tomorrow!
