My P&P spirit has been buried under schoolwork, which is really what I should be doing right now.

Probably the main reason I didn't like Matthew-Darcy that much is because I love Colin-Darcy. He was pretty much exactly as I pictured Mr. Darcy to be. I don't think they could have picked a better Mr. Darcy than him. He was perfect for the role. Appearance, acting, everything.
I agree that it is very nice when the movie takes lines directly from the book. The BBC version did that largely, with only a few deviations from the book.

Aye, I agree!
About everything, I love lvoe love Colin-Darcy...that's all there is to be said.

The BBC version, I saw it before I read the book though, and then after I read the book I saw the Kiera version, I saw the BBC version when I was a lot younger.

Teehee. I'm glad you agree. (That rhymed!) Yes. Colin Firth is very , only most people think I'm crazy when I say that.
I read the book before I saw any of the movies. I saw the BBC version first. I actually refused to see the 2005 version, because I thought it could never be as good as BBC. Curiousity got the best of me however, and I was glad it did. I actually liked the 2005 version, although BBC is still best for me.
i think the BBC version is only 5 hours, but yes, I have it. It's wonderful.
Thanks for posting guys! I thought all we needed was bump. :)

P&P lovers!!
Sorry I've been away for so long. School is killing me and I guess Myspace has taken some time to, although I haven't got so many friends there yet..

But yes, P&P. I would wich, that Colins' shirt was open in episode 4 when he bumps into Elizabeth - what do you think?

Hooray! A post! I've missed this club. No one's posted here for ages, and I felt bad about always bumping. But now, I can posta again.

Yes! I love Colin-Darcy, and I think he's incredibly sexy, so of course seeing hijm with an open shirt would be nice.
 Mrs. Gamgee your post made me laugh, but I heartily agree with it.

Yay!! We need to revive this club, I'm happy people are posting once more. :P

And I completely agree with the Colin/Darcy/yummy equation. :P It's healthy to be just a tad fangirly every once and a while. :P

I love the book. I've been reading it since 7th grade, and loving it ever since. Question for you all: Did you read the movie or see the book first?

(sort of off topic, but Mrs. Gamgee, you apparently have good taste in gus because you like Colin-Darcy, and you have Ewan McGregor banners, and I love him too!)

Yes, the lake scene was definitely the one he looked the best in I think. My friend, who I forced into watching it with me, didn't even think he was good looking until that scene. But of course, I thought he was good looking the whole time. :P

I didn't think Matthew-Darcy was so good looking, but he wasn't that bad. Not a bad actor either, although not an excellent one. I think the problem is that I expected him to measure up to Colin, but he didn't quite make it. :(

I think that's mainly why i was a little dissapointed in the movie, I was just expecting so much more out of it after reading the book and watching the BBC version, so yeah.

I watched the BBC version first a long long long time ago, when i was....11, maybe, so i didnt quite remember it, but i read the book this summer, and then re-watched the BBC version, then the Kiera version.
So in a way, i watched it first.....but only sorta kinda....lol.

I'm sure you can join Firiel, welcome! :)

:welcome: to Firiel! I'm sure their will be no problems if you join.
So..... I realized in my above post that I posted the words "read the movie and see the book." I think I was having a brain lapse. Sorry all. But I'm pretty sure you could see I meant see the movie and read the book, so it wasn't that bad.
For myself, I read the book first. I didn't even know it was a movie until it came on TV one day. And I was so excited! Of course, I watched it. I came in just on the part where Mr. Bingley is coming back to Netherfield, so it was almost over, but I fell in love even with just those few minutes of it. So, I asked for it for Christmas that year, and I got it. I watched it every day of the Christmas holidays. I think I got through all 5 hours about five times before my mum told me it was unhealthy and I had to stop. :P This is all the BBC version of course, as it was way before the Keira version was even out. Getting the movie that Christmas also brought on a sudden, mad obsession with Colin Firth. Weird, I know. The obsession has since passed, but I still really like Colin Firth and especialy him as Mr. Darcy.
