I thought Doom was cool! Other than the discusting parts.. though I don't get quezzy when it comes to moments like that, though my mom does! She almost barfed when that one dude at the live rat!
I dout we'll buy it, we barely buy any movie! We got XXX cause my mom likes ven deasil, and we got LotR *wootwoot* and we got PotR and Narnia.
To me Doom was an ok movie!

Ha, being a gamer, and having actually played Doom, the movie was a total nerd bonus, even if it was just a knock-off of Resident Evil. I actually really liked the movie, even though the script was terrible, and most of the acting (except for Karl of course.) I liked the fact that the Rock wasn't the main character, because, I thought those roles would be completely reversed. But the end of it, with the first person shooting, too much like the video game for my taste.

The point of the first person shooter at the end was so that it could connect more with fans of the game. I really thought they did a good job on it. It was a good cheeseball sci-fi movie, Karl was good and Rock was also good (I do much prefer him as an actor than a wrestler). You can disengage your brain and stuff your face with popcorn and just enjoy the nonsense.

Well... lets see... theres lots of blood, and they show guts and stuff... oh yeah! And a dude in the movie eats a rat alive! That made my mom almost throw up!

I just find it strange that people would watch a movie knowing it would likely be graphic in it's portrayal of violence. It's rated a 15 (in the UK..dunno what that is in the US) and clearly states on the dvd box what it's about.

Admittedly not an Oscar winner, but for those who've played Doom, it a pretty good flick. It's called escapism, and that's what it's good for. Don't scoff at every film just because there's no little gold statue to go with it, like fore example, the first 2 LOTR movies.

*applauds*
Exactly, and I know from my own personal taste, there are many movies with those little gold men that I don't enjoy.

Too true.
I have fallen asleep in the theater once in my life (This goes back a ways, but so do I). The movie was Ordinary People, and it later won the gold statue. In truth it was a good movie, once I saw it on cable, but the point is I did fall asleep.

Haha, there's actually a lot of winners of 'the golden men' that made me go... 'What were people smoking?'
