Herenya, which pieces from Peer Gynt? I think it's my favorite classical work of all time...at this point, anyway!

Morning... I play viola (so I don't normally read treble clef) but the part in morning goes into treble clef, and its fairly high and I can't figure out the position or fingering because it's also fairly fast... It sounds really good though - when the flutes get it together.
and In the Hall of the Mountain King. It's repeditive, but it's fun. But neither of them are easy to play...

Morning would be hard to play...and treble clef?! That sounds confusing.
In the Hall of the Mountain King is one of my favorites. Yes, very repetitive.
Right now I'm listening to George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. I love this piece! It's so fun.

Oh I love in the Hall of the Mountain King, it is a good song to listen to while reading The Hobbit.

Hey, that's a cool idea. It does fit, doesn't it?
Nienor - yet, Morning is hard. I'm only no longer making half of it up because we had a string sectional (we got kept back... ) and we went through a lot of it note by note... Embarrassing, really.

I love classical! Well, alright, not all classical, but a lot. I was brought up on it, and have been playing mostly classical on the piano for many many years..
Favorites would be Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff.. Oh! Ravel's Bolero has to be one of the most awesome pieces ever.

In the Hall of the Mountain King! *loves* And Rhapsody in Blue, did you see the Fantasia 2000 cartoon of that? That was pretty cute. Speaking of Fantasia 2000, I really liked the song where they had the yoyo playing flamingos. I can't remember the title though.

Yay for classical! It's hard to say what is my favourite, because I love it all. I like early baroque, esp. Vivaldi's four seasons, and I also loooove Wagner (not necessarily the solo stuff--the choruses and instrumental) Britten, Barber, Sibelius, Beethoven and Grieg. Also, when I'm feeling particularly melancholy, I love to listen to Tchaikovsky. I'm also experiencing a strange and unexpected Bach-revival in my life--everything's been Bach for the past few days...weirdness.

The Nutcracker is my favorite because I grew up listening to and I still do. I'm now listening to more classical music on my lauchcast radio.

Hello!!
I love classical music and know almost everything there is to know about it.
Mozart and Beethoven are my favorite composers and my favorite type of musical composition are piano concertos.
I don't know why but a lot of people say classical music is relaxing when there are thousands of classical songs that are really powerful and moving!!
Try Beethoven's Piano Concerto #5 "Emperor".

w00t! Wow...you know, I went looking through all these music threads to see if I could find a Classical Music thread...hehe... ok, yes, I am obsessed with that, too.
I play the piano, so Chopin rulz! 8) I also really like Beethoven, especially his piano sonatas... Anyone here ever played his Tempest sonata?
Oh, kinda off-subject...I just got tickets to a LotR concert, conducted by Howard Shore himself! *happiness*
Shadowcraft hit the nail on the head about classical music being exciting!
