I watched 'A Lot like Love' yesterday. I thought it was going to be a stupid romantic comedy but I loved it.

Watched Mona Lisa Smile a few days ago. I really enjoy that film! It's a tad bit like a female version of Dead Poet's Society (which pwns!)

I haven't seen the second one yet. I'll prolly buy it on R1 import
Last thing I watched was Fantastic Four on the movie channel. A good movie despite what critics say. Come on the sequel!! [/comicgeek]

^ I really enjoyed Fantastic Four! It was tons better than what I thought it would be and it was hilarious as well!
Ben Grimm: What's wrong with me?
Johnny Storm: I swear to you, Ben, they've done everything humanly possible. The best plastic surgeons in the world are here, Ben. You had the best.
[Johnny picks up a hand mirror on the bed table before Ben can reach it, reluctant to give it to him]
Ben Grimm: Give me that mirror.
Johnny Storm: I don't think if that's a good idea. They said the shock alone...
Ben Grimm: I said, give me that goddamn mirror!
Johnny Storm: Okay, Ben. Just be strong.
[Ben grabs it from him. Then slowly raises it to look and see that he's totally normal]
Johnny Storm: Unfortunately, the doctors just couldn't do anything to fix your face.

It wasn't completely accurate to the comic. Especially the Doom origin, but I can forgive that. Because it stayed true to the spirit of the books. Michael Chiklis simply was The Thing/Ben Grimm.

i watched peter pan again last night (the 2003 live action version with jeremy sumpter as peter). there were bits where the film could have stuck a little closer to the book plotwise, but the characterisation was perfect and i'm still amazed by the chemistry between peter and wendy - the actors were only 13 and 14 at the time and yet there's more electricity between them than between most screen couples. i love it!
