as weird as it may seem, I saw 'Cast Away' for the first time a few nights ago... and when wilson started to float away and he couln't reach him.... That nearly made my cry...so sad.
Also, 'Eight Below' several parts of it almost made me cry, but I DID cry when the docter found his son's drawing of 'the eight dogs who saved my daddy' -- THAT is sad.

I've cried in all three LotR movies... even after seeing FotR over 50 times, I still am sobbing every time during the breaking of the fellowship. And as for RotK, I spend probably half the movie crying. It has a huge, huge emotional impact for me.
And other movies... Tuck Everlasting, that movie made me cry. And Phantom of the Opera. And Spiderman II (am I the only one who felt so sorry for Peter they were in tears?). And... Finding Neverland. That movie was so sweet and sad... and I know there's more, but my mind's blanking out. I was almost in tears in DMC, and I probably will be next time I see it.

Well, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a cry baby when it comes to flicks. I cryed in Elizabethtown and Lord of the Rings Return of the King. The weird part though, was I didn't cry the first time I watched them. Instead I cryed the 5th time I watched Elizbethtown and I cryed the 3rd time I watched LotR RotK. It might have something to do with the fact that I can't bare to let people see me cry.
The only movies that I have ever cryed in the first go around was the Titanic and Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest. I know PotC 2 was a weird movie to cry in but when Will faced his dad, Bill hit him with the rope, them fighting, and all of the rest of their scenes...I just couldn't take it... . (clears throat) Okay, now I've totally humiliated myself for life. Sorry about rambling.

Like I said, I think next time I see DMC I think I'm going to be crying. The only time I've watched it so far, I was just too much in shock to be crying.
But I only cry in movies if a) the room is dark or b) I'm watching alone. I don't let people see me cry. Ever.
The first time I saw RotK, I was crying so hard I could barely breathe. Then we walked out of the theater, and there were huge lines for the evening showing (it was opening day) and everyone was looking at us (my siblings and I were dressed up) and I had puffy red eyes... that wasn't so good.

When I was a kid Land Before Time, Bambi, and Dumbo made me cry because I thought I was going to lose my mom.
As I've gotten older I find most movies don't make me cry, even if they are really emotional and supposed to be tear-jerkers. The only one I can think of at the moment is Return of the King. But there have been several movies that have left me feeling sad, just not really enough to cry.

Yeah, I usually only cry when I'm by myself. The exception to that rule is ROTK. I just let go...of course, I felt no shame because everyone in the theatre was doing the same thing. Ha ha ha.
I didn't cry in DMC, mainly because I don't let people see me cry...but also because I was just in shock. *hugs her beloved Captain* But my throat got all tight and my eyes did well up a bit... Until the very end when I was jumping up and down for joy...
