I read this book a few years ago for school, and I loved it. I honestly don't remember why I loved it so much, but it was just such a great story and so well written. I should read it again...

I just read it. It was really good. The trial part was amazingly interesting. I couldn't put it down.

I read this for school last year. I liked the trial part too! I felt so bad during the trial though. It is a great story that shows a child's maturation very well, and the struggle between the races during that time. It was a very well written book.

It was realli good, for all you qho have read it, you will know who I'm referring to, but a certain word is used, that now, can not even be said (n-----). It just shows how times have changed and to be honest, I think that it highlights todays issues perfectly!

I had to read it in 7th grade, and recently read it again. I was the only loser in my whole class that liked it. But it really is a good book, with a lot of good underlying messages that make you think and question the world today.
Scarlett Storm, I know what you're talking about, and it's definitely a sig of a change in the times. It's kind of like the word "gay." Before, people used it too mean happy or cheery or merry or other related words. Today, you can't read the word aloud without immature people sniggering, and even making that association in your brain. It's definitely a sign of the changing times I think.

i liked it, but i didn't think it was as good as people make it out to be - never really grabbed me i'm afraid.

i just finished reading it for english. i loved it sooo much. we got into groups and acted out parts of the trial and in our group there were 2 girls, but no girl parts to act out, so i had to be atticus. it was fun. probably my favorite part of the book is the very end when scout is looking at everything through boo's eyes. it was so great. we do a thing called lit circles in class and i had to pick out something artistic to represent that part of the book and i played the chorus of "this side" by nickel creek. my teacher loved it!

I read To Kill A Mockingbird during High school, the teachers all said that it was wonderful, but the students all hated it (for some weird reason). My favourite part has to be the trial. Even though he lost, Atticus still had the respect of the community. A fantastic book.

I had to read it last year, and I have to admit, it got my attention, though I wouldn't say I loved it. It shows the kind of segregation that existed in that time period, and I guess, how they started to overcome it.

It's a timeless piece of literature, and sadly, it's still very relevant today. Harper Lee wrote just this one novel, but it was outstanding.
