Yay, i love AFI, anyone else here like em? (oh gawd, cant spell)

I like them. I saw them live during the Sing the Sorrow tour and they were excellent.
I much prefer there older stuff though, they seem to be heading off into another direction and I'm not overly keen.
Fave albums are Black Sails the Sunset and The Art of Drowning.

I've only heard one song by them - Miss Murder - and loved it I don't think I'd really like the rest of their music, though, because I don't listen to that type of music very much

your so lucky Phoenix, personally i like Sing the Sorrow better than Decemberunderground, and i really love their older music...

I'm sure you'll get to see them live at some point. They seem to tour a lot, so you might get lucky.

I gotta say something horribly shallow now. I absolutely hate Davey Havok's new haircut. It's awful...truly awful and doesn't suit him at all. I prefered his Glenn Danzig/Misfits style.

Gilraen: How would you know if you would like it or not, unless you listened to it? You said you liked Miss Murder...I'm a not having a go at ya, I'm just a bit bewildered.

Ooo Pheonix, I know that I probably wouldn't like the rest of their music because normally I hate metal/screamy/hard-punkish-rock music, or however you describe them (no offense)...For instance, I love the song Miss Murder, but in the middle, when they start screaming, I get the chills Maybe I'll still check out more of their music anyway

LOL Well, that's just because I really like a couple of Green Day's "mellow-er" songs I guess I really don't have any excuse not to like AFI though, do I? lol I guess I'll just have to look 'em up and listen to some more music!

I just got December Underground and if I could describe AFI in two words, they'd be "haunting" and "poetic." Their lyrics are amazing... sometimes a bit too poetic/abstract, because most of the time I have no idea what they're singing/screaming about.

yay for Sing the Sorrow, love the last song, haunting is a good describing word for them, it was awesome, in art a guy made an AFI poster for me...

I adore Miseria Cantare (The Beginning) from Sing the Sorrow.
But for haunting, nothing beats God called in Sick today.

I like AFI. I got into them when Sing the Sorrow came out and I've been a fan ever since. I prefer their older work to Decemberunderground, but I still like the CD.

The haircut comment made me lol. It irritates me because Davey's always playing with it. My little sister even said something about it.

His Danzig-cut was awesome and suited him, and he reminded me of a younger Glenn. He suited the long hair..but this new cut...it's just ghastly.

I like AFI. A friend of mine got me into their some time ago and I liked their music. I had 'Sing the Sorrow' CD but I can't find it now
