It takes alot for an argument of mine to be shattered.

I know thta, I have debated with you on this topic a while back and I know that you will "stand to the last man" in an arguement and not give an inch unless u need to * smiles whilst saying this *

i don't know about the book but in the movie i believe there were wings but the balrog couldnt use them at all. it could be that the balrogs of old could use their wings to fly. i remember balrogs being mentioned in the earlier battles in the Silmarilion but i dont think it says anything about flying...

No, I was not trying to get rid of the argument, this is fun, debating. But I was wanting to get some back up... Couldn't find what I was looking for.

Regardless of whether they had wings or not, I seriously doubt Balrogs could Fly.

Maybe Balrogs have wings for decoration or if they get to hot, they can easily fan themselves with it.
