No Orik?! What?! I LOVE Orik! They can't cut him! :disgust: that really sucks.

Oh dear....modern costuming...I'm sorry, but that sounds liek a recipe for disaster to me. Especially since I've seen Arya and Nasuada.

Okay, thinking positive Mel. Positive. Any more pictures of Arya? How'd she look?

Arya's an abomination! That stupid, stupid metal breastplate thing...I hate it! *bursts into tears*

Okay...calming down...the book made it seem like such a low budget film. The pictures aren't very good quality...there's that one of Arya grinning while she sends the egg away- it looks like they just snapped the photo at a bad time. Really juvenile.

Sigh. There was actually a quote from Chris Paolini- something to the effect of, "The movie is a very different story from the book," which is, of course, as close as he can get to critisizing it without getting in trouble. How miserable is that?

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.

After absent-mindedly clicking on this topic and glancing at the post at the top of this page, I have gone into shock.

:jawdrop: <---That's me, right there. I may be behind the rest of humanity in the fact I haven't finished Eldest yet :annoyed2: The film looks awesome...I love the bad guys, but Durza looks...slightly...not as I'd expected him to *is refraining from using the phrase 'hot in a bad way'* :P

*starts laughing* That was exactly like me! Wow...

Yes, Arya's clothes are... bleah.

I really think they should have stayed closer to the book. A lot closer.

Awwww, don't cry Nienor. It'll be okay. We'll just have to sort of...suspend judgement. Hey, at least there's AWE to look forward to in May! *Prepares to completely block out Arya's image* There, then I'll be okay :) How'd Eragon look?

*deep breath* Thanks Meldawen. Eragon wasn't bad, I think- he looks good with the dragon, anyway. Oh, and there was a section on Saphira. She may not be as I imagined her, but the baby dragon is cute.

Yeah, at least they haven't messed Saphira up too badly :P But then again, she has no clothing to worry about. I never really saw her as 'cute' when she was little, but you know, as long as she doesn't look like Barney, I'll be okay.

When I read the book I was squee-ing like crazy over baby Saphira. She just sounded so cute! I hope they do that well.

Is it just me, or does this movie get worse every time we hear something new?

Well...let's not think like that. Let's reserve judgement until we actually see it, because you really never know. It could be a really awesome movie, with horrible costumes.

*appreciates the optimism*
Yeah. Perhaps it'll be different from the book, but a really entertaining movie all the same!

Yes! Let's be optimistic! I mean, it's a fantasy movie! How bad could it get? *thinks for a second* Oh wait... pretty bad... but, erm, maybe this won't be!

I'm not like really obsessed with Eragon, so I'll probably be able to just take the movie as a different story than the book - I think that would be the best way to enjoy it. :)

Ye guys should check Shur'tugal, if you haven't lately! They have a new poster, new picture, new trailer...and news about Rachel Weisz probably/possibly having been cast as the voice of Saphira. I think Rachel's awesome, so that's good news imo :-D

*sniffle* I'm really disappointed. Trying not to take it to seriously, but look at those new character stills. Arya just makes me want to throw up. And you know, the first time I clicked on the Roran picture (Roran is just about my favorite character) I thought he was Ed Speelers! He looks a lot like Eragon.

Oh well. The Avril Lavign bit made me cringe a little, but I can plug my ears if it's just music. Not for a whole movie.

*tries not to be a hopeless pessimist*

Hmm, well I'm not entirely disappointed...but I wish they had modelled their costumes after an ancient civilization, because I really dislike how they are trying to be "different"...meh...

As for the stills, I wish they had better expressions, seriously, I could take better still pictures than that....:P meh, I feel bad for bashing the movie and I haven't even seen it yet.

Ah,yes, when I saw the Avril Lavigne is supposed to sing a song... I was more than disappointed....why her....:P She's such an odd person to pick for a Fantasy movie.....
