I've decided not to spoil it for myself :) I'm going to go see it on December 15th and I am GOING to have fun, no matter what people have done to it. And if it's a mediocre movie, I'll come out and go, "That was a mediocre movie" and get on with my life. After all, I'm sure there's SOMETHING about it I'll like. I'm positive, actually.

Meh, I've only seen two of the three trailers, and this computer won't play the other one... I'll have to wait until my older brother gets home and watch it on his.

Anyways... I'm going to make an effort to enjoy it, even if there are things I don't like (rather like PotC DMC). If I want to like something, I will like it.

I do admire you for that. I thought I'd kicked my purism habit until Eragon came up. >.< But in all likelihood, I'll go into the theater and enjoy the movie, and come out simply thinking of it as a different story from the book.

Hmm...some of the stills leave something to be desired :p Ed looks really weird in his pictures...something about his face is...crooked? And yes, Nie, I agree that Roran looks frighteningly similar to Eragon - I pictured him looking a bit older. I really liked the close-up pic of Murtagh, though - nice and Joaquin-Phoenix-as-Commodus-y.

As for Arya...Arya... *sigh* :frust: What bothers me is that it would have taken SO LITTLE EFFORT for them to tweak Sienna's hair and costumes and have a perfect Arya.

Image

See? All I did was darken her hair (ok, and style it a little differently) and give her Aragorn's leather jerkin and chain mail. And tada! She actually looks...Arya-ish...not like some modern strawberry-blonde gal running around in a tube top.

Lookin' good, Arwen! I really like that picture, actually. Maybe I'll just visualize Arya like that and sort of think of the movie as a weird blip on the radar screen. Her eyes are really pretty, I just noticed.

*gasps* Look! It's actually Arya! *bounces* :bounce: Awesome job, Arwen! :-D

I'm re-reading Eragon right now, and I had forgotten a whole lot of things. It's actually pretty fun. :)

Even if the whole film is terrible, I will have Murtagh and Durza to gaze at with big heart-shaped, bright pink eyes. The joys of being easily pleased :P I've seen most of the trailers and aside from Arya annoying me in general, I really don't like Saphira's wings...

Arwen, I like that a lot. From now on that is my movie picture of Arya, no matter how different it may look. :D

Well, you can't just tell us you won't be able to and then not say why!
Best of luck to you, either way.

I was in Borders again yesterday and looked for the making of the movie book- unfortunately they were sold out. Too bad, I wanted to finish it.
