Nirvana is definitely one of my favorite bands right now. Personally though, I prefer their older stuff. Bleach is by far my favorite album. Amazing stuff. I love it all though. ha ha

I like Nirvana a lot. My favorite band is Guns N' Roses and a lot of people say that you can't listen Nirvana and LOTR (Axl and Kurt was in a fight) but I love bouth bands a lot. Lithium, Rape me, Heart Shaped Box, some of my favorite songs by them

^I've been told something similar to that before, that I 'can't listen to both grunge and metal music, because the grunge scene (supposedly) ruined the metal scene' but I think that's just a load of bull...poo... I don't think people should choose what they listen to just judging by the 'music scene'.

I think that the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" really captured the times in American history for a great amount of the teens in America (and still unfortunately reflects our society today). Sitting there unmotivated to do anything because they are so used to having entertainment delivered to them, so desensitized by the ready availablity of anything they want or desire, they became accustomed to instant gratification and weren't willing to actually get up and go after what they want. Everything has become based on instant gratification... cell phones so people can contact you anywhere and everywhere (text messaging, and mobile IM for when they can't answer their phone for two minutes), Stores that are open 24/7 in case you can't live without some cookies or a huge HUGE bottle of soda for a few hours... it's insanity. People can't wait for anything these days.....and this song really captures that I think
