As he´s one of my favorite characters in LotR I´ll choose Sam, closely followed by Frodo, Pippin and Merry.

Hmm...I would probably not be strong enough to work the Palantir. nor would I be strgon enough to carry Gimili's axe. I guess I'd probably say the Palantir, because I seem to be attracted to shiny objects. Gimii's axe rocks though.
Taking the Paths of the Dead, or going through Moria?

Ar-Adunakhor. I like it better. It looks cooler. Also, I seem to remember something basd about Ar-Pharazon in the back of my mind... I can;t quite put my finger on what it is though.
