Wow, that sounds like me. I basically just buy my books from the library. Last year I lost one for two months.
I have copies of both if anyone wants to pop by* and borrow one.
*NOTE: I will not pay for airfare or hotel accommodations.

I don't own either, but my library has them stocked pretty much all the time so I could get them within a couple of days. Oddly enough, I have to wait longer to get Eragon than Eldest.

That was the same thing for me. Me and my sis could never get Eragon, but when Eldest came out, there was no waiting list for it.

Why does nobody like the Avril song? Not that I'm a huge fan of her, but the song wasn't bad at all. Maybe I'm just really easy to please.

I don't like it because, first of all, I dislike Avril with a passion. Her voice is WAY too whiny and talk-the-words-rather-than-sing-them for my taste. The song itself sounded unoriginal, repetitious, too meant-to-be-catchy, and not at all specific to Eragon itself - it could have been used for any number of movies, fantasy or not, without changing a thing about it. It doesn't sound epic or serious, and overall, it just plain annoyed me.
And that is why I didn't like it

I've never read the book, but I saw the trailer recently and it looks pretty interesting! I'm sure I'll end up seeing it.

WOW.
I'm rereading the book for the first time in two years, and, sheesh, CP copied Star Wars sooo bad it's not even funny.
But I still like it

Hear, hear. It might have nothing original in it but somehow it's still fun

Now you guys, come on. That's unfair (besides the fact that we've had this conversation only a couple pages back) but we know CP did a little (mayeb a lot) of copying and taking, but in it's essence, the story and plot in itself are original. It's something new and a different, when I first read it, I liked it because it was fresh.
(even though i still can't get over the fact that the Ra'Zac are JUST like* Nazgul >.>)
