Yeah, I do. The actor who plays him played Juba in Gladiator. He was so awesome as him. He has my full confidence that he will do a great job.

^*Sings* Frooostyyyy the snowmannnnn...
I like Ajihad too. I never really got a good mental picture of him, so anyone who can act will do.
Maybe, just maybe, Ajihad, Murtagh and Brom can save the entire movie. The odds seem stacked against it...

I'd also like to know why some of you think Christopher Paolini has a major attitude problem.
And I am also very put out by people who say they are better than others.
This thread isn't really very fun anymore.

As for Arwen up there, I always heard that he was such a nice person, does he really have a bad attitude?
And if you all hated him so much then you wouldn't anticipate the movie as much as you have been. And come on, can't we just be a little less mean. Sure the messed up just about everything in the movie, and the book's a bit unoriginal...yet we've all been here in these 900 pages discussing the upcoming Eragon movie and the book....can't we all just get along?
Sorry. I'm just distraught at how odd the movie looks...

*Scratches head* According to the new German posters that are in the latest snippet of news on Shur'tugal, Arya has decidedly got blue eyes. How does that work? Aren't they supposed to be green? Not that I'm actually that concerned, but I thought her magic was green too, which means green eyes would only make sense.

This Friday, people, it begins. I'm exercising my persuasion skills to convince my mother let me watch it in theaters. She's saying, "Why can't you just watch when the DVD comes out?" I need a good counter-argument for that one. I've been saying, "It just doesn't feel right, watching it at home before you watch in the theater."

I don't think my mom really cares I mean, she's not paying for it, and as long as it's my money and she's okay with me seeing the movie, it's fine if I go.

Maybe talk about the fact that the movie-watching experience is so much more amazing when in theaters, and that movies are MADE to be seen in theaters, so you can't REALLY see it unless it's in theaters. Another thing, if she's the type of mother I have, tell her that's it's only rated PG, and that lower-rated movies need support.

I'm listening to the Shur'tugal clip of Keep Holding On over and over again - this song is totally growing on me! I really like it. Argh, too hard to wait for Friday!

I am pretty excited about it coming out *tries to stay positive*. I think the special effects are really good, and I tend to notice when they're bad. Also, I like Saphira and the way she's turning out. And I LOVE Brom. He totally owns. I didn't like him much in the book, but he WINS in the movie. And it looks like all the acting is pretty good, which is another thing I always notice.
All in all, I think it will be an OK movie, and I'm looking forward to it. It's always nice to have a fantasy movie coming out mid December, so I don't miss having a new LotR movie so much.

*sighs softly* I should have replyed to this last post.
I will come right out and say, I shouldn't have said "I think I'm a better writer than CP..." and understand, I honestly do not mean to say that I am better than anyone, because I'm not. I mean, everyone has their specific talents and so on, but in the end, who can say who's "better" or worse? Anyway, I am very, very sorry if I sounded conceited or rude. Thank you for calling me on it.
Anyway... I hope to go see it opening day *crosses fingers*

^It's all right.
I don't get to see it opening day...I'd planned on going with one group of friends, but my original Eragon groupies can't go that day, and I can't go twice because I'm out of cash. Ah well, you can all tell me how it is.

My friends are all seeing it the opening day and they want me to go, but I don't want to.. everyone always tells me to shutup all the time during any movie, so I'd rather just watch it somewhere in the middle.. say January or something

The only two movies I ever saw on opening day were RotK and Narnia... opening day is always fun. But I like days really late in the movie's run too, when like no one's in the theater so you and your friends can be crazy and goofy. So maybe I'll see it once right as it comes out and once right as it's leaving theaters. That's what I did with DMC, and that worked great.
