Is anybody else here allways the last one in their "click" to watch and or get into movies that get alot of "attention". I was just wondering. See I just watched and got into LotR in early August, I got into PotC early this year, and I watched Harry Potter for the first time last year and am just now realy getting into it. I hate it when that happens but it allways does. The realy bad thing about that though is that then you miss all of the memerobilla that they sell for those movies, when you bring them up it takes people awhile for them to remember those movies, and you're allways playing catch up (catch up on watching all of the movies and or reading the stuff on or about them). Does this happen to anybody else if so then with what all movies?
p.s. I realy had no idea where I should put this. So I ended up just putting it here. If this doesn't belong here, I'm realy sorry and please forgive me. I just didn't know where else to put it beacuse it could have fitted here, the your life board, or the random board. So I became very as where to put it.

I hardly EVER get to see movies in the theatre.
I can count the movies I've seen in a theatre on one hand.
And three of them were cartoons.
Wah.
(*she mutters something about SUPPOSED to get to be able to see Happy Feet and then being dumped, bummer*)

Mmmm...well, I don't really know if I am. I tend to find out about things WAY before anyone else, and whenever I bring them up, people think I'm crazy. (A great example is the whole Napoleon Dynamite craze...I saw it MONTHS before anyone had any idea what I was talking about)
If I am usually the last one, the "thing" has been around for a while...and usually has a small group of fans...so it doesn't really matter. Ha ha ha...okay, none of my reply here made any sense.
SO, I'm kind of the exact opposite, which isn't always the greatest. You get a LOT of weird looks.
But I didn't see FOTR until a month after it came out (b/c I was angry with all the books being made into movies and sucking ... little did I know... ). And I only went because my boyfriend dragged me to it. By the end of the movie...I kind of ignored him for a while because I became so obsessed...

I am, I think. I got into LotR when RotK was already in theaters...and Harry Potter after the sixth book came out...and Eragon a few years after it was published...is that the sort of thing you mean?
FM, I don't see many movies in the theater, either, though that doesn't bother me. Heck, they're expensive!

To the first post: quite true. I was not into LotR obsessively when movie memorbilia was still out there.
I was also the last of my group to see PotO, but they watched it with me, and got me really into it before I even saw it. So it's okay, I guess. Still, their time of pseudo-obsessivness has passed (since they've been into it for over a year) and I am often much more enthusiastic than they about breaking out into songs from PotO.

I always find out about new and upcoming movie projects really early because I am such an IMDb.com junkie (and movie freak in general) I saw LotR, PotC, Narnia and Harry Potter all within the first week of their release

Ah, I'm starting to become like that. But I'm just now 14, so I wasn't exactly a rabid movie fan at age 9. Especially for a PG13 movie like LotR.

What "clique"? I don't have a clique!
But, yes, I hardly ever see movies in theaters. I've seen...3. Pirates 2, RotK, and Madagascar. Sad, I know.

[color=white]I'm not necessarily behind in hearing about the latest good movies at the cinema, it's just I'm slow when it comes around to seeing them. Sometimes I miss out on them completely and end up renting the movie instead long after it's come out. I did that with PotO and P&P '05.

Let's see how many films I havent' seen in theaters:
1. Pirates of the Caribbean (1 and 2)
2. The Lord of the Rings
3. The Incredibles
4. The Princess Diaries
5. Star Wars trilogy (bummer, big bummer)
There's more, but I can't think of them. I got into LOTR in 2004, but I guess that's not too bad. Anyway. We usually wait until the films come out on DVD; cheaper that way.

Kitoky, Whoops. Sorry, that I put this in the wrong plac.e Thanks for moving it for us.
Wow, alot of us don't get to see them for awhile. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
As far as ones that I've seen in theaters...
Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest
Happy Feet
Cars
over the Hedge
Hercules
Anastia
Pacifier
The sad part is that I only actually wouldn't to watch part of them.
Fencing Maiden, I'm sorry that you got dumped.
Larael, I've done that alot too. The main ones being Harry Potter, PotC, and Lord of the Rings. In fact I had to go and buy PotC CotB right after I watched PotC DMC just so it would make more sense. lol Then I didn't get to see HP or LotR until years after they had come out. (as I have allready said lol)
I'm sorry that that happens to you. However I'm aslo very glad that I'm not the only one that that happens to.

Cars
Chronicles of Narnia
Finding Nemo
Dreamer
Prince of Egypt
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
I think that's it. I haven't seen POTC 2 either; but hopefully, my sis will let me see it with her.
